About the job

Application deadline: Ongoing

Location: Denmark

Do you want to become part of a strong community in a professional and ambitious engineering company, where we care about quality and technical expertise, and in good collegial relationships? Then you might be our next Automation Engineer.

About the job At Confirm we deliver high-quality automation and validation solutions for manufacturing companies within pharma, medical devices and other GxP-regulated industries. Our extensive experience enables us to bridge automation and validation, and we ensure that GMP is implemented in the most efficient way, both technically and commercially. We work with respect for the individual and place high value on both professional and personal development.

We have a strong social environment and are happy to share knowledge and experiences. Every other Friday we gather at the Roskilde office for joint meetings and socializing, and we are happy to go the extra mile to our social events.

As an Automation Engineer at Confirm you will play a central role in leading and coordinating technical teams; in addition, it is expected that as an experienced Automation Engineer you not only contribute with your technical expertise but also take responsibility for guiding and supporting less experienced colleagues. You will function as a mentor and role model, where you share your knowledge and experience to help them develop and grow in their roles.

In this way we ensure strong collaboration and ongoing development across the entire team. You will work closely with the customer’s resources and suppliers such as automation engineers, system service providers and project management.

You will among other things come to work with

  • Design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of production and automation systems, including process control systems.
  • Development and implementation of automation solutions based on the customer's specifications.
  • Technical documentation of hardware and software design.
  • Analysis of user and function requirements to ensure that the systems meet the specified requirements.
  • Validation of automated systems through execution of user tests.
  • Compliance with both global and local standards, guidelines and procedures as defined by Confirm, our customers and the industry.
  • Analysis and identification of customer-specific needs to deliver tailored and effective automation solutions.
  • Management of automation projects and identification of potential bottlenecks and critical factors.

The ideal candidate To be successful in the role of Automation Engineer at Confirm, we expect that you have:

  • Experience with DCS systems such as Emerson DeltaV, ABB or Siemens, as well as HMI/SCADA solutions such as Rockwell FactoryTalk or Siemens.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an FDA-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnological industry.
  • Experience as a technical team member and solid understanding of cGMP and Good Engineering Practices (GEP), including ISA88, GAMP and ISPE guidelines.
  • Experience with historian systems such as OSI PI Historian and PLCs from Rockwell and Siemens.
  • Experience with project management under Agile methodology and technical systems such as Oracle or MS SQL.
  • IT skills with understanding of domain requirements, networks, firewalls and system grouping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.

What do we offer? At Confirm we place great emphasis on a strong social community, professional pride and a sustainable balance between work and leisure. We strive for a work environment without unnecessary bureaucracy, where there is direct access to decision-makers, and where everyone contributes to our ambitious goals and takes care of each other. We offer an exciting position with a focus on both professional development and social activities.
