Experienced client advisor/designer for the Design Team in Property Services

Who is Property Service

Property Service is Randers Municipality's municipal property center, established in 2015, with responsibility for the operation and development of the municipality's buildings. Our tasks span a wide range – from maintenance and daily operations of the municipality's entire building stock to design, renovation, energy management, cleaning and canteen operations.

We work from the ambition to deliver high professional quality and good service through close dialogue with users and partners.

About the position

You will become part of the Design/Planning team, which mainly consists of building constructors and architects. Here we handle owner’s representative advisory, sketches, design, procurement, construction management and supervision on municipal construction projects – both new build and renovations/additions. In addition we also work with fire protection, operating agreements and area management in close collaboration with colleagues and department administrations.

Cross-disciplinary collaboration is an important part of the job – both with colleagues in Property Service and with external stakeholders such as users, department administrations, consultants and politicians. Therefore we need you to be able to work independently and thrive in cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Your tasks will include

• Advisory in connection with building programming and project development.
• Drafting building programs, functional requirements and technical solutions.
• Design and modeling of construction in Revit.
• Preparation and coordination of drawings and project material.
• Coordination of building-technical solutions and quality assurance of design materials.
• Development of procurement strategies and assistance in choosing the contract form.
• Conducting tenders and contract negotiations.
• Time, cost and risk management.
• Coordination between client, consultants, contractors and users.
• Follow-up on quality, economy and progress throughout the construction process.
• Contribution to the development of workflows and strategies through cross-disciplinary collaboration.

We imagine that you

• have a construction-technical background as architect, building constructor or similar
• have experience with owner’s representative advisory, design or project management
• have experience with Revit and can work independently with design and modeling
• have an understanding of the different phases of the construction process and the relationship between function, quality, economy and execution.
• are analytical, structured and good at communicating clearly with many stakeholders
• thrive on taking responsibility and ensuring progress in complex projects
• have experience working with sustainable solutions in construction.
