Kickstart your digital construction career as a VDC intern at NCC in Søborg

Would you like an internship period where you get up close to how digital tools and data-driven methods help shape the future of construction? Then an internship in NCC’s Virtual Design & Construction department might be just the thing for you.

Many associate the contracting industry with something very physical, but at NCC we work largely digitally. With us you become part of an environment filled with specialists who are passionate about new technologies, smarter processes and innovative solutions. You will have a daily life close to both projects and business – and plenty of opportunities to try your hand with digital tools in practice.

Your daily life in VDC

In the VDC department we develop, test and implement digital methods and tools that make construction better, faster and more precise. You will become part of an innovative team where we, among other things, work with:

• 4D simulations
• Collision checks
• Quantity take-offs
• AI, automation and data processing

As an intern you will gain insight into the whole construction process – from the initial bids to on-site execution. You will receive both technical learning and a broad understanding of how digital tools play a crucial role in modern construction.

With us you have the opportunity to make your mark on the digital development on the projects. You will be involved in concrete construction projects and can follow one or more large projects up close. In addition you will participate in exciting internal development projects including data handling, programming and planning. There is a short path from idea to action – and you get to try it all in practice.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an engineering, construction or architecture student who has an interest in digital tools and new ways of working. Maybe you already have familiarity with tools such as:

• Revit
• Solibri
• Dalux
• Dynamo
• Programming or similar

The most important is that you have drive, curiosity, technical understanding and a desire to be at the forefront as construction becomes digitized.
