About the job

Do you want to work with planning tasks, environmental assessments and assist municipalities with authority case handling – and at the same time be an important advisor for both municipalities and private developers?

At Geopartner we are looking for an experienced town planner for our office in Aalborg, Viborg or Aarhus. We are looking for you who can take responsibility for projects from start to finish, ensure high professional quality and navigate safely in complex processes with many stakeholders.

We are looking for you who can become part of our business area Planning & Energy, where we work with planning that must function in practice.

Our tasks span a wide range – from urban and property development to renewable energy plants – and include both dense urban areas, station-adjacent projects, smaller towns and the open countryside. Common to the tasks is that they require professional depth, process understanding and the ability to translate complex problems into realizable solutions.

What does the job include?

You will be responsible for solving tasks from start to finish. In your work with local plans, municipal plan amendments and planning processes, dialogue is crucial. An important part of the job is also environmental screenings, environmental impact assessments, municipal authority tasks within planning and environmental legal areas as well as case handling in the open countryside. In addition you provide strategic advice within urban and property development.

As a advisor you are clear in dialogue with both municipalities and private project developers, and you actively contribute to finding solutions that can be realized. At the same time you participate in bid work, where your professional depth helps create new relationships. We work across Geopartner both geographically and professionally, because it gives the best solutions – and because we become even better when we actively use each other’s expertise.

The position is initially 37 hours per week with a flex arrangement, but we are open to reduced hours if it fits your daily life better.

Who are you?

You have experience with the planning and environmental assessment area and are used to working in or close to municipal and political processes. The position requires that you can work independently with complex cases, create structure and ensure progress – even when there are many stakeholders, different local practices and conflicting considerations. In addition you communicate clearly and manage to translate complex issues into a solid basis for decision-making.

Your educational background could be e.g. architect, engineer, geographer, urban designer or land surveyor. Experience with tender work and client responsibility is an advantage, but most important is that you thrive in the role of an experienced advisor and can take responsibility.

What more can we offer you?

At Geopartner you get the framework for a long-term sustainable career where professionalism and balance go hand in hand.

To give you the best conditions you can look forward to

  • A professionally strong and informal working environment with short decision-making paths and a high degree of trust.
  • Professional development through sparring, knowledge sharing, continuing education and our own Academy – focusing on e.g. project management, customer collaboration and digital solutions.
  • Great freedom to plan your workday with responsibility close to the tasks.
  • Flexible arrangements with the possibility of occasional remote work.
  • Social activities, an active staff association and a strong collegial community.
  • Health insurance through PFA.
  • A thorough onboarding with a mentor and a well-planned introduction program.
