Fårupgård Youth Center strengthens the night shift at Godset – therefore we are looking for two awake night guards

At Godset we invest in quality, professionalism and continuity for our young people. Therefore we are now expanding our night shift with two new fixed night guards.

For young people in vulnerable life situations, the night can be a particularly challenging time. We know that stable relationships, recognizable adults and high professional standards make a difference. Therefore we are strengthening our night shift team to ensure better staffing, increased professional sparring and greater continuity around the young people.

We already have two experienced night guards employed in a fixed 7/7 rotation. By employing two additional night guards, we want to establish a strong and professionally grounded night shift team that together can create the best possible framework for our young people.

About the job

Working hours are from 19:00 to 04:00, and you will be part of a fixed work rotation together with the department’s other night guards.

As a night guard you contribute to creating safety, stability and predictability for young people who often have experienced significant challenges in their lives. You will become an important part of the overall treatment effort and play a central role in supporting calm, well-being and development during the night hours.

You will, among other things

• Create safety, calm and structure during the night hours
• Be available for young people who need support and guidance
• Observe and document relevant incidents
• Handle disturbances or crisis situations with calm, overview and professional reflection
• Contribute to close collaboration with the department’s other staff
• Ensure good handovers between night and day teams

We are looking for someone who

• Is calm, robust and present
• Thrives with responsibility and can work independently
• Can maintain an overview in complex situations
• Has a pedagogical, social-work or health-care background or relevant experience
• Has an interest in mentalization, trauma-informed care and low arousal
• Wants to become part of a professionally strong night shift team

About us

Godset is one of six 24-hour departments at Fårupgård Youth Center and has space for up to eight young people who receive pedagogical treatment and support. The young people often have complex social, emotional and mental health challenges.

We work from a mentalization-based approach with inspiration from low arousal, neuroaffective pedagogy and the STORM model. Our shared ambition is to create development through safe relationships, clear adults and high professional quality.

• Two fixed positions

• Employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement
