Organization

Our internal vocational school is the Bakkegården Foundation's day services for young people aged 13 – 25 who are enrolled at one of our youth homes, who are not education-ready and do not fit into established arrangements or youths who are no longer compulsory school age.

At the vocational school we offer individual and specially tailored vocational and education-oriented school and internship programs and clarification programs.

The vocational school consists of a multi-workshop auto/metal and wood where we partly do various projects around the youths' interests e.g. scooter project or something they want to make in wood, and we also service the foundation's car fleet – we occasionally also do motocross races on ATVs etc.

We also have an attached creative workshop / cafe – with 2 employees located in an independent house of 180 m2 on the same parcel as the Vocational School

The Bakkegården Foundation operates a total of 9 different youth homes in the municipalities of Aarhus, Favrskov and Randers and we have around 85 permanent employees in the Foundation, supplemented by 30 - 40 fixed and temporary substitutes.
