We are looking for a qualified cook, cater or nutrition assistant for a permanent position of 37 hours per week .

About Café Bøg

Café Bøg is part of Polaris Center Herning, Skovlyset department, which is a psychosocial service for people with mental illnesses. Skovlyset consists of residential care, flexible housing, day services, social-pedagogical interventions for citizens in their own homes, as well as an acute service.

In Café Bøg we prepare daily meals for residents in the residential program, deliver meals to several services in Herning Municipality and are responsible for refreshments for meetings, courses and events.

We also expect in the near future to become a specialized service for people with eating disorders. This means that menu planning, nutrition and food production will play an even more important role in the café's development.

Your tasks

You will be part of a small team with a broad range of tasks, including

• Production and packaging of hot and cold meals as well as salads
• Preparation of bread and pastries
• Delivery of meals
• Receiving and handling of goods
• Serving residents, guests and course participants in the café
• Internal checks, cleaning and dishwashing
• Contributing to menu planning and ordering of supplies

• Have solid experience with food production and can work independently
• Can produce both small and large portions with a focus on quality and variety
• Work creatively with ingredients and composition of meals
• Are service-minded and meet residents, guests and partners with respect and openness
• Thrive in a daily routine with varied tasks and different target groups
• Can plan and structure your tasks so deadlines are met
• Are flexible and actively contribute to a good working environment
• Have an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration around people with eating disorders
• Hold a category B driving licence

• Are trained as a cook, caterer or nutrition assistant
• Have broad experience with both catering and à la carte production
• Are reliable and responsible
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Maintain an overview and keep a positive mood in a busy everyday life
• Master Danish in writing and speaking

Practical information

• Position: 37 hours per week.
• Working hours: Currently the working hours on weekdays are between 7:30 and 17:00.
• Start date: 1 November 2026 or by agreement.
