Professional Coordinator for Education and Vocational Guidance sought for Jobcenter Hjørring

In Hjørring Municipality, the education and vocational guidance is a central part of the Youth Guarantee and the Ungeraising. We believe that no one can know everything – but everyone can know something! As a professional coordinator you will play a role in translating the strategic direction for primary and youth guidance into concrete practice for young people from 7th grade up to 30 years old.

You will be the link between management, staff, partners and external actors. Your task is not necessarily to be the one who goes deepest into the detail, but rather the one who creates overview, ties the threads together, builds relationships and ensures that tasks and initiatives are completed.

The position is for you who are motivated by a variable daily life, where there are often many balls in the air, tight deadlines and political attention to the results.

About the job

As a professional coordinator you will have a versatile role focused on coordination, collaboration, development and implementation of initiatives in the Youth Department at the Hjørring Job Center, in the Education and Vocational Guidance team.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Professional sparring with colleagues, management and partners about initiatives, development tasks and guidance of young people
• Coordination and professional support of initiatives in the STU area, including visitation and absence meetings as well as support of authorities’ tasks.
• Cross-disciplinary coordination and collaboration across administrations with a focus on holistic initiatives and smooth transitions from child to adult.
• Planning and coordination of the education fair, bridging activities and other joint initiatives for young people.
• Development and maintenance of strong cooperation with primary schools, upper secondary education, companies as well as internal and external partners.
• Follow-up on goals, initiatives and results, including reports, presentations and participation in handling of complex individual cases and complaints.

About us

Education and Vocational Guidance is part of the Youth and Education Department in the Children and Labor Market Administration. The department consists of three teams working closely together to support the young people’s path to education and work.

You will become part of a guidance team of 16 dedicated colleagues with different professional backgrounds and experiences – all focused on collaboration and high professional standards in task solving.

You will also become part of a coordinator group consisting of two professional coordinators who work closely with the management group to strengthen the department’s efforts to get as many young people as possible into education or work.
