Professionally strong and goal-oriented caseworker for handling erroneous debt

Motivated by the possibility of working with complex rules on statute of limitations that apply to debt collection to the public sector, and are you effective in your use of IT systems? Then you may be the case handler we are looking for for our unit in the Debt Authority, Roskilde, under the Data and Quality area.

Your tasks

You will become part of a professionally strong team that supports the collection of debt from both citizens and businesses. Collaboration, high professionalism and quality in task execution are central prerequisites to ensure an efficient debt collection process. Your tasks will among other things include verifying claims for enforceability and data quality with a view to subsequent collection.

DOK 13 is a unit under the Data and Quality area. Our main task is to improve the quality of the claims portfolio in DMI and SAP38 through enforceability assessment of claims with doubt about statute of limitations, handling deviations due to data errors and setting obsolete claims to write-off.

In this work we often use data from the Tax Administration's older systems, including KMD/RIS and DR. In connection with deviation handling we perform balance reduction of claims and recalculation of interest.

As a case handler you will among other things take care of tasks within

• Professional assessment of whether the claims for collection are collectable or possibly time-barred
• Identify documentation for interruption of the statute of limitations.
• Handling of inquiries, typically contact with the claim holder - by phone and email

We are looking for an efficient case handler with a flair for IT and case handling experience

You must be able to understand complex rules and effectively translate them into your case handling and be quality-conscious in your use of standard IT systems.

You may already have relevant experience with case handling within our area. Perhaps from the Tax Administration or another public authority, where you have demonstrated that you can understand and translate legislation and law.

We would like your experience to be combined with a relevant educational background. It could be in administration, e.g. as financial economist, auditor assistant, debt collection, professional bachelor's in public administration, finance, auditing or the like. Or as a bachelor within law, economics or administration.

If you are a recent graduate, you may have a background such as tax auditor or an internal training program in the Tax Administration, where you have gained practical and theoretical experience with case handling.

There is a strong focus on the debt collection area. This means that in task execution you will focus on quality, propriety and also work purposefully. You are professionally strong, and have a particular focus on being an authority-exercising, while at the same time presenting yourself as professional and empathetic. You also have a strong focus on legal certainty and ensure that case handling is conducted on a correct and factual basis.

As a person you must be able to navigate complex rule sets in a responsible and correct manner. It is crucial that you are service-minded and can communicate professionally and clearly. Since we work with people who often are in a financially difficult situation, it is also important that you can establish and maintain a constructive dialogue based on mutual trust and understanding.

In addition it is an advantage if you

• Have experience with statute of limitations handling of debt to the public sector
• Have experience with procedural rules, the Administration Act and the Public Access to Information Act and have a focus on legal certainty and good administrative practice
• Thrives with deeper complex case handling
• Have experience with using the Tax Administration's systems, such as DMI, DR and the Tax Account.

We prepare you

In connection with your start you will participate in an onboarding program for new employees, which ensures that you quickly obtain the necessary background knowledge and at the same time get a good connection to both your team, your unit and the Debt Authority as a workplace.

You will be employed under the collective agreement for office clerks, laboratory staff and IT employees (HK) or the collective agreement for agents etc. (DTS) in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.

Before employment we carry out a debt check insofar as there are arrears to the public sector, and references and a criminal record check will be obtained.
