Tønder Biogas processes approximately 930,000 tons of sustainable raw material annually and produces over 41 million Nm³ of renewable biogas as well as 48,000 tons of green CO₂. The total climate effect corresponds to an annual reduction of 175,000 tons of CO₂ equivalents. The plant is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through their Advanced Bioenergy Fund.

About the position

You will be based on-site in Tønder and report to the company’s director. You will be responsible for daily accounting activities as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You will conduct internal audits, develop the financial setup, and be close to the key workflows in the project. Some of the daily accounting tasks are handled by an external partner.

Responsibilities

• Planning, controlling, and reporting
• Monthly VAT settlements and ongoing accounting activities
• Financial reconciliation and quality assurance of accounts
• Audit, compliance testing, and collaboration with external auditors
• Preparation of accounting materials, analyses and documentation
• Organization and analysis of financial data
• Contribute to presentations and close collaboration with the project team and stakeholders
• Contact with main suppliers and ongoing optimization of the business

Your professional background

• Relevant education in accounting, auditing or finance
• Minimum 5 years of experience from finance or accounting functions
• Experience from the utility or manufacturing sector is an advantage
