Financial Assistant at Design School Kolding

Design School Kolding is seeking a finance assistant for a versatile position with tasks in accounting and project economics. The position includes both ongoing financial tasks and the opportunity to contribute to the development of systems and processes.

About the position

You will become part of Finance and Project Administration and will have a varied day-to-day with both independent tasks and close collaboration across the finance function. The concrete task content will be adapted to your competencies and experience.

We are facing several development projects, including the implementation of a new travel expense system and upgrading from Navision Stat to Business Central. Interest in financial systems, digitization and process optimization is therefore an advantage, but not a requirement.

Your main tasks

• Monthly closings and reconciliations
• Invoicing and ongoing bookkeeping
• Project accounting
• Budgeting and budget monitoring
• Management reporting and financial analyses
• Development and optimization of financial systems and workflows
• Ad hoc tasks across the finance function

Experience and education

We are looking for someone with a relevant education in finance, accounting or office administration. You may be a recent graduate or have experience from a finance function, the auditing industry or similar. The crucial thing is that your education or experience together give you a solid foundation for solving financial tasks in practice.

In Finance and Project Administration we are around 10 colleagues who work with payroll, bookkeeping, controlling, management support, project accounting and fundraising. We help each other across disciplines and emphasize joint task completion and professional sparring.

As a smaller educational institution we have short decision-making paths and good opportunities to develop and implement new ideas.

The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Terms of employment and application

This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week. The position is available from 1 December or as soon as possible and we will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
