Flexible Service Technician – IT, Telecom & Data (Onshore and Offshore)

On behalf of ATCOM in Esbjerg, we are seeking a curious and technically strong service technician with an interest in IT, telecom, networks and the offshore industry.

About the position

As a service technician you will be part of a strong technical team, where you work with design, documentation, construction and testing of solutions from the office in Esbjerg.

Additionally you will participate in installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance at customers in Denmark and internationally – primarily in the North Sea, both onshore and offshore.

You will receive thorough training through mentoring, hands-on experience as well as relevant courses and certifications. When you are ready, you will have independent responsibility for your own tasks and customers.

The position typically involves 60-80 travel days per year. The travel activity provides opportunities for both professional experiences, international projects and attractive financial terms, where travel days can be converted into extra weeks of vacation or a bonus.

About you

Your entry to the job can be many. You may have a relevant technical background such as trained technician, IT and electronics technician, data technician, radio technician, electrical/low-voltage engineer, machinery engineer, technical manager offshore or similar relevant education combined with several years of practical experience.

The most important is that you have a solid technical understanding and a desire to work with modern communications and network solutions in an international environment. If you have basic knowledge in IP-based networks, radio technologies and/or electrical engineering in the industry, we can certainly build on your knowledge and challenge you.

You speak and write Danish and English and reside within a reasonable driving distance to Esbjerg or are prepared to relocate.

It is not necessary that you already have a book full of offshore certificates/licenses. ATCOM would like to invest in you and pay for relevant courses for you so you can go offshore. The most important is the willingness and desire.
