Food and Beverage Manager sought for Universe Science Park

Then you might be the person we are looking for as our new Food & Beverage Manager.

Universe Science Park is a foundation with a charitable purpose to excite children and young people about science, technology and entrepreneurship. Each year we welcome thousands of guests, and the food and beverage experience plays a pivotal role in their overall park experience.

As Food & Beverage Manager you will have full responsibility for development, operations and commercial results across the park's F&B area. From pizza and ice cream to meeting catering and new concepts, you will ensure that our guests encounter attractive products, strong hospitality and a service experience that matches the rest of Universe.

You will be responsible for an area with great potential, where the focus is to increase guest satisfaction, revenue and profitability through attractive concepts, efficient operations and a strong focus on sales.

How you will succeed in the role

You are a visible and engaging leader who combines strong commercial sense with a passion for guest experiences.

You are able to translate data and financial metrics into concrete actions that strengthen both revenue, profitability and guest satisfaction. At the same time, you are able to create energy and motivation among your employees so they deliver hospitality and high-quality service every day.

You will be responsible for driving and developing the area with a focus on

• Sales optimization and upselling
• Assortment and concept development
• Inventory management and procurement
• staffing and capacity planning
• Cost control and profitability
• Training and development of employees

You will lead a dedicated team consisting of a permanent F&B coordinator, trusted seasonal managers and up to 70 seasonal employees. Your ability to create a common direction, high engagement and a strong service culture is crucial to the department's success.

Your areas of responsibility

As Food & Beverage Manager you will have overall responsibility for operations, development and financial results across the park's four fixed sales locations, meeting catering and pop-up outlets.

Your key tasks will be to

• Ensure high guest satisfaction and strong service experiences
• Develop and optimize assortment, concepts and sales activities
• Maximise revenue and profitability through active commercial management
• Set prices and work strategically with product mix and margins
• Analyze key metrics and translate insights into concrete improvements
• Ensure efficient operations and high quality across all sales locations
• Recruit, train and develop staff
• Contribute to the development of Universe's overall guest experience

You report directly to the CEO and become a central part of the management team. As part of the management team you will also participate in the on-call scheme with responsibility for the overall park operation on selected days, including weekends and holidays.
