About the job
We are seeking a friendly technical service assistant who would like to work with both the outdoor green areas and the technical as well as practical indoor work. You will at times be among curious and happy children of all nationalities.
Amager Cluster I consists of seven institutions, located in an area with many new buildings and architectural solutions. Our facilities are relatively new buildings with technical installations and large playgrounds that require maintenance. In addition, we service a satellite department in Dragør and Lynge.
You will become part of a small team with four skilled technical service assistants who regularly help each other and share good solutions and knowledge about the buildings.
We expect a high degree of independence in planning and carrying out the tasks in collaboration with the cluster’s other technical service staff. On a daily basis you will report to one of the cluster’s pedagogical leaders. You will primarily have tasks in two of the institutions.
The weekly working hours are 30-35 hours (excluding lunch) distributed across all days of the week with daily meeting time at 07:00. Another working time can be agreed to a limited extent.
It is advantageous if you have experience with and enjoy working with green areas, as we have large and beautiful playgrounds with plantings that require ongoing maintenance. It is also important that you have an interest in and preferably are certified to supervise technical installations, including fire and ventilation systems. If you are not certified, you must be willing to be trained for this.
The tasks include, among others
- maintenance of outdoor areas
- minor indoor repairs
- seasonal tasks such as snow removal, lawn mowing, leaf removal, pruning of hedges and shrubs, etc.
- contact with tradespeople and supervisors from Copenhagen Properties
- obtaining offers for concrete tasks and coordinating them
- handling bulky waste, waste sorting and other ad hoc tasks
- supervision of sprinkler systems, fire systems, etc.
We emphasize that you
- have experience with similar work and/or are a craftsman
- are flexible and can juggle several tasks at once
- can work independently
- enjoy being in an environment with children around you
- are positive and can see opportunities in the work
- actively participate in constructive cooperation with the cluster’s other technical employees as well as other staff
It is an advantage if you have a driving license and your own car, but it is not a requirement. We expect that you can cycle between the institutions – a cargo bike will be provided.
Salary and employment terms
The position is initially 30-35 hours per week with start on 1 January 2027.
Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for skilled workers in Copenhagen Municipality. Upon hiring we will obtain child and criminal background checks and take references. Please note that child attestations are required, as you will be working among many children.

All permanent staff in A Cluster I have the opportunity to use the employer-paid health scheme with Falck Healthcare, which offers physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, reflexologists and health checks.
Are you ready for an active day in beautiful surroundings?
If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact pedagogical leader Thomas Sahl Kellberg at 40 11 50 03 or [email protected] .
Along with your application, please upload your CV and any educational certificates.
We look forward to meeting you!
