Full-time recycling guides for Nordværk's recycling stations in Hjørring and Brønderslev

Nordværk is seeking a recycling guide who, with engagement and a good mood, will take part in our work servicing citizens and businesses at the recycling centers in Hjørring and Brønderslev.

As a recycling guide you will have the chance to work hands-on with sustainability and help others choose greener solutions.

If you’re up for it, we need you. We are currently looking for two full-time employees to cover shifts at the recycling centers in Hjørring and Brønderslev municipalities.

About the job

As a recycling guide you will be responsible for guiding citizens and businesses on sorting waste, so we achieve the best possible sorting of their waste, and ensure that as much waste as possible is recycled or reused.

In addition to providing friendly guidance, your primary tasks include

• Pack and prepare waste for further transport
• Keep the recycling center neat and tidy
• Handle smaller administrative tasks related to arranging transport

What we expect from you

• You greet people with a smile and are outgoing and helpful
• You may already have experience from a service field – maybe not, but you have the right attitude!
• Are outgoing, helpful, with assertiveness and can maintain an overview
• Are a team player, but also able to work independently
• You can communicate in Danish in writing and speech with visitors, colleagues and partners.
• You enjoy working outdoors – even when the weather shows its less charming side.
• You can, for home use, use a computer.
• It is a requirement that you have at least a category B driving license
• If you have a forklift certificate and experience with machines, that is a plus – but not a requirement

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent appointment from December 1, 2026 or by agreement. You will join a fixed shift cycle over a 4-week period, with work on Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend.

The working hours are 37 hours per week with working hours from 09:00-18:15 on weekdays and 09:15-17:15 on weekends.
