About the job
Are you passionate about geriatric day rehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a difference for the individual citizen? And would you like to be part of a professionally strong community where we help each other and pull together? Then it may be you we are looking for!
At the Training and Rehabilitation Center (TRC) in Lyngby, we are seeking a physiotherapist for a permanent position at our temporary 24-hour wards, with start on December 1, 2026.
With us you get a varied daily life with professional challenges, independent responsibility and good opportunities to bring your physiotherapy expertise into play. You will become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team where together we create targeted and meaningful rehabilitation pathways for citizens with different and often complex problems.
Who are we?
TRC is centrally located in Lyngby in scenic surroundings. In our temporary 24-hour wards we work purposefully to strengthen citizens' functional ability, independence and quality of life. We base our approach on the individual citizen's resources, needs and goals and work holistically to create the best possible rehabilitation pathways.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses and social and health care assistants. We collaborate closely across professions and with hospitals and the citizens' other networks to ensure continuity and quality of the efforts.
We believe that we succeed best when we succeed together. Therefore we prioritize professional sparring, knowledge sharing and a good collegial community. We help each other in everyday life, share our experiences and find solutions together – even when tasks are many, and the day doesn't always go as planned. With us there is room for both independence, questions and development.
Your daily life and your tasks
As a physiotherapist you play an important role in citizens' rehabilitation journeys. You work independently with physiotherapeutic assessments, training and rehabilitation while simultaneously participating closely in the multidisciplinary collaboration.
In cooperation with a coordinator you plan your workday based on task priority and the citizens' current needs. It requires professional overview, flexibility and the ability to adapt the intervention in a day when needs may change.
Your main tasks will be to
- Plan and conduct physiotherapeutic assessments, individual training programs and rehabilitative interventions.
- Assess citizens' functional abilities and plan the training based on their resources and goals.
- Assess and process applications for aids.
- Attend the rehabilitative meal on shifts
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to cohesive citizen pathways.
- Contribute to development and improvement of workflows and ensure high professional quality in task execution.
- Contribute to teaching and training of physiotherapy students and new employees.
You will work with interventions under the Health Act § 140, the Elderly Act § 10 and the Social Services Act § 86.
We expect you to take responsibility for your own tasks, while actively contributing to the team's joint task solving. We emphasize using each other's competencies and helping each other to create the best solutions for citizens.
An exciting future awaits
From January 1, 2027 we will become part of the new regional health structure and the newly established Department for Citizen-Centered Health at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital.
It will be an exciting development with new opportunities for professional sparring, collaboration and development of future citizen-centered health services. You will have the opportunity to become part of a developing workplace where your physiotherapy expertise will continue to play an important role in citizens' rehabilitation.
