Physiotherapist for the best team in the Health Unit Vejlby/Risskov

About the job

We rarely hire a physiotherapist, but now there is an opportunity to become part of our team.

Are you passionate about being part of a health unit that has rehabilitation in focus? Do you want to use and develop your competencies in rehabilitation with rehabilitation as the focus? Then perhaps it is you we are looking for.

The Health Unit Vejlby/Risskov seeks a physiotherapist in a permanent full-time position with start on 1 November 2026. We are looking for a colleague who can join our team with good humor and a positive energy, a high level of professionalism, and with a desire to be challenged and to be challenged.

In the Health Unit area Vejlby/Risskov, interdisciplinarity is highly valued, and you will therefore share an office with occupational therapists, SOSU helpers, SOSU assistants and nurses, who will be part of your team.

About the team

The Health Unit Vejlby/Risskov is housed in Skejby Folk House, Skelagervej 33, Aarhus N.

We are a team of 32 employees consisting of nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, SOSU helpers and SOSU assistants. We work interdisciplinarily and everyone’s effort and professional competence are important in the work with and about the citizen and the citizen's goals in the process.

As an employee in the health unit you will primarily work with “new” citizen pathways, i.e., citizens who are not already in a municipal pathway.

In the Health Unit Vejlby/Risskov we work with pathways according to the new Elderly Act. The Elderly Act is new for everyone – citizens, relatives, employees etc., and together we practice to ensure that citizens receive a good and successful pathway.

If you can see yourself in the above and contribute to it, it may be you we are missing.

The position includes, among other things, tasks such as

  • Rehabilitation according to the Health Act §140
  • Rehabilitation according to the Social Services Act §86.1
  • Use of the Aarhus Municipality's pathway model as a working tool for citizen pathways
  • The role as pathway responsible for citizens in simple and complex pathways
  • Participate in and coordinate with other professional groups around the citizen’s pathway
  • Rehabilitation in relation to the citizen’s daily life
  • Assessments of transfers and aids and any adaptations thereto
  • Digital consultations and start-up of virtual groups.
  • Mono- and interprofessional sparring meetings.
  • Documentation in CURA

Your profile

  • That we imagine you thrive with and are particularly good at:
  • That you set expectations in the first meeting with citizens who do not know the municipality yet.
  • That you form safe and trust-building relationships with citizens who typically are in a pathway of 8-12 weeks.
  • That you develop and rethink within the rehabilitation area, including group training for citizens and implementation of virtual training pathways.
  • That you involve the citizen's resources and network, as well as set valuable goals with the citizen.
  • That you work independently, are curious and keep an overview in a changing everyday life
  • That you get wind in your hair on an e-bike around the area year-round

Therefore you should choose us

You will become part of a strong and professionally competent team with loyal and positive colleagues, a focus on a good working environment, and opportunities for professional development. We are an exciting workplace where professionalism and well-being are in focus.

We offer a workplace with

  • A high degree of influence on how the task is solved, in collaboration with the citizen and colleagues.
  • A team of good colleagues who want our tasks and each other.
  • A team with good morale, a humorous tone and a good community in and outside working hours.
  • Engaged colleagues and a leader who together with you will help create the best professional team in Aarhus Municipality.
  • Interdisciplinary meetings in the team, where there is an opportunity to get sparring on the citizen’s pathway and ensure that we work toward the same goal.
  • Citizens at the center.
  • Self-planning therapists.
  • A thorough intro program.
