About the job

Do you want a practical daily life with plenty of contact with people, where good service, cooperation and correct sorting go hand in hand. Then Nordværk has two vacancies as recycling guides at our recycling sites at Sundsholmen and Over Kæret.

Nordværk operates recycling centers across North Jutland, and our goal is to ensure that as much waste as possible is recycled or reused. As a recycling guide you are both our outward face to citizens and an important part of the daily operation at the recycling site.

About the job

As a recycling guide you work closely with your colleagues on the daily operation of the site. A large part of the job is about being visible and accessible to residents and helping them sort their waste correctly.

At the same time, the job is practical, and you should be prepared to participate in the many different tasks that keep a recycling site functioning.

Your main tasks are to

  • Advise residents and businesses on correct sorting and recycling
  • Provide good service and be a visible and welcoming representative for Nordværk
  • Pack and prepare waste for further transport
  • Operate machines such as a forklift and a rubber-tyred loader
  • Prepare, register and handle containers
  • Keep the site, machines and equipment tidy and in good condition
  • Contribute to ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with current procedures
  • Handle minor administrative and practical tasks related to daily operations

What we expect from you

We primarily value that you have the right attitude and thrive in contact with many different people.

We expect that

  • You are outgoing, helpful and meet citizens at eye level
  • You take responsibility and actively contribute to the collaboration with your colleagues
  • You can work independently and maintain an overview when it is busy
  • You enjoy practical work and working outdoors year-round
  • You can communicate in Danish, both orally and in writing
  • You can use IT at a normal user level including various apps on your phone
  • You at minimum have a category B driving license

If you have a forklift certificate and experience in operating machines, that is an advantage – but not a requirement.

What you can expect from us

You will become part of a workplace with an informal tone where we help each other and place emphasis on good collaboration.

You will receive thorough on-the-job training so you are well equipped for guiding citizens, operating the machines and handling the practical tasks at the site.

We offer a varied and independent daily life with responsibility and continually strive to ensure a good physical and social working environment.

At Nordværk we work based on the values of integrity, collaboration, professionalism and sustainability. They are reflected in daily life, and we place importance on you wanting to live up to them in practice. As part of our focus on well-being and a good working environment we have smoke-free working time.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a full-time role averaging 37 hours per week, and weekend and holiday work can be expected.

Salary and other terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and local agreement.

Does this job sound like something for you? Then send us your application by Sunday, November 22, 2026.

The positions are expected to be filled on January 1 or by agreement.

Interviews will be held on Thursday, November 26, with the possibility of a second interview at a later date.
