Frederikshavn Forsyning A/S is seeking an engaged and service-minded recycling site guide for the recycling centers in Frederikshavn Municipality. As a recycling site guide you will play an important role in ensuring correct waste sorting and recycling, as well as providing visitors to the site with a good experience.

About the job

You meet citizens and businesses with a smile and are always ready to guide and help them sort their waste correctly so that as much as possible can be recycled or reprocessed. In addition you perform various operational tasks and contribute to the recycling centers appearing tidy, safe and well functioning. You help keep things orderly, clean the areas and ensure that the waste is handled correctly. You monitor the site’s containers and areas so that it is neat, clear and safe for both visitors and employees.

As our new recycling site guide you will have a varied and practical daily life, where tasks may vary from day to day, and it is therefore important that you are practical, take initiative and are ready to help where needed. In the job you thrive working independently and in close cooperation with your colleagues.

Your tasks are

• To guide and help citizens and businesses with correct waste sorting
• To ensure correct handling of waste and good conditions for both visitors and employees
• To contribute to as much waste as possible being recycled and reprocessed
• To keep the sites' areas tidy and clean so that they appear neat, inviting and safe

Qualifications and competencies

As an employee you are outgoing, proactive and service-minded. It is especially important that you can remain calm in busy situations.

We expect that you

• are friendly and approachable
• can service users and ensure the daily operation of the recycling centers
• have good teamwork skills and a sense of order
• are flexible, as replacement will occur at all of the utility's recycling centers
• thrive in outdoor work
• can handle oil and chemical waste (employee will be enrolled in a course upon employment)
• have basic IT skills

A Category B driving license is a requirement.

Salary - and employment terms

This is a full-time position at 37 hours. The working hours are planned within the recycling centers' opening hours and include weekend work as well as work on holidays.

Salary - and employment terms are set according to the applicable collective agreement.

When employed you must be able to present a clean criminal record.
