About the job

Do you have an analytical mind, and can you convey complex issues so they are understandable? Do you have political acumen, and do you want to help strengthen a society-critical area with great attention? Then you may be the colleague we are seeking in the Tax and Growth Ministry's Office for Management - Debt and Customs (GTO).

Employees for the debt area

The office is located in the IT, Modernisation and Implementation division. In this division we focus on ensuring the strategic direction for the ministry's agencies and supporting their business development. We are currently looking for employees for the Office for Management - Debt and Customs, who work with the debt area, the customs area and the gaming area.

In the debt area, the Tax and Growth Ministry faces an important task in balancing debt collection so that more citizens and businesses pay their debt to the public sector. At the same time, the focus on the social downsides of debt collection means that the impact of debt on the life opportunities of socially vulnerable groups is also taken into account in the effort.

The office's concrete tasks concern ministerial service, including policy development, decision briefing to management, the minister for Taxation and Growth and the government, as well as answering parliamentary questions. Another task is supervision and business development, which requires close collaboration and coordination with the Tax and Growth Ministry's agencies, other ministries and the National Audit Office.

In addition, the office supports the implementation and follow-up on political agreements in the concrete areas of responsibility. The specific content of the position and responsibilities will be determined based on, among other things, your interests and competencies.

As an employee in the office, your tasks must be solved in close collaboration with your colleagues in the office, other offices in the department and across the Tax and Growth Ministry's agencies. In the Tax and Growth Ministry we attach great importance to a holistic view in task solving, and you will therefore also come into contact with many different professional areas as part of your duties. It is therefore an advantage if you thrive on solving difficult problems, handling complex processes, while you are able to be pragmatic and solution-oriented in your work.

Professionally curious and analytically strong profile

We are looking for a professionally strong and hardworking colleague who can take on content-wise challenging tasks. We usually solve our tasks in collaboration with other offices and ministries. It is therefore essential that you are good at collaboration and relationship-building. We imagine that you, among other things,

  • have a sharp analytical mind and are able to oversee many complex cases at once
  • have a good political understanding and can communicate clearly and precisely
  • can build good collaborative relationships
  • are able to take responsibility for your tasks and see them through to the end
  • are flexible, have great engagement, a good mood and a positive attitude when things move fast
  • can manage and coordinate complicated processes

We emphasize that you have a relevant master's degree such as cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.adm., cand.merc., cand.polit. or similar. Both recent graduates and applicants with experience can be considered.

Work closely with what matters

In the Tax and Growth Ministry we work closely with the political processes in a field with great attention and many stakeholders. We put all our effort into solving our tasks in a proper way while also setting direction and creating solutions for our entire group.

We are a professional and ambitious department with about 330 employees, who daily solve challenging tasks across disciplines. We know that the good solution arises from the interaction between specialisations. Therefore we foster a strong professional collaborative culture, where there is also room for the social.
