Would you like to be a meaningful adult in children's everyday life – and to become part of a kindergarten where there is both room to dream, room for laughter and ambitions on behalf of the children?

Then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a qualified educator for a 32-hour-per-week maternity leave cover with start 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter .

Juliane Kindergarten is located in the heart of Hasseris – in a cozy villa neighbourhood, where our kindergarten is housed in a large, charming villa with lots of soul.

Here there are 59 children distributed across three age-grouped bases. The building is filled with small corners, play, life and a homely atmosphere, which we greatly value.

Our playground is laid out in a large, old garden with fruit trees, shrubs and plenty of space to explore, build, move, invent and simply be. We are outdoors every day – all year round. We have, among other things, a regular shared outdoor day every week and a shared outdoor week once a year.

So if you think a good pedagogical everyday life can also take place with muddy boots, red cheeks and nature just outside the door, you are already on the right track.

With us, pedagogy can be both professional and fun

We believe that children develop best in safe, inclusive communities , where they feel seen, understood and significant. Therefore we work with clear frameworks and a recognizable structure that creates security – while there should be room for curiosity, spontaneity, humor and play.

We focus on relationships and understanding what lies behind a child’s behavior. We work, among other things, with mentalizing and validating approaches, ICDP and Low Arousal , and we are in the process of a NEST program up to summer 2027 .

As part of Aalborg Municipality’s common direction, we work with Strong Communities . For us, that means, among other things, continually exploring how we can create learning environments where all children can participate – even when a child needs something different or more than most.

We are not finished developing. And we hope you aren’t either.

Who do we hope you are?

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained educator and wants to actively contribute your professional expertise
• meets children with curiosity, warmth and respect for their perspective
• can create clear and safe frameworks – without forgetting play and humor
• has experience with, and desire to work with children aged 3-6 years and to follow their development across age groups
• is passionate about creating inclusive children's communities where all children feel they belong
• takes responsibility and can work independently as well as part of a strong team
• thrives in a daily routine where structure and spontaneity go hand in hand
• has a desire for professional sparring, reflection and joint development
• is reliable and flexible
• wants to be active – both outside, inside and together with the children.

Maybe you have worked with NEST, ICDP, Low Arousal, neuro-pedagogy, language development, or physical education or other? It’s an advantage, but not a requirement.

The most important for us is that you have a desire for the children, for the community and for being part of Juliane.

The position is covered by local salary. Other employment conditions are pursuant to the current agreement between KL and BUPL.
