Well on the way to SOSU – course programs for multilinguals

• You wish to learn the SOSU subject and work with elderly people
• You speak, read and understand Danish and have another first language

We are seeking employees who wish to work with language and subjects on a course program with a view to later completing a social- and health care education.

The course program is a combination of instruction in SOSU subjects and Danish, as well as internship days at a nursing home, a day centre, or in home care.

• Time: March 1, 2027 – August 24, 2027
• Where: At the Social- and Health School and an internship placement in Ikast-Brande Municipality
• Full-time job 37 hours with collectively negotiated pay, which is around DKK 25,000 per month. Working hours during school are 8:00 – 15:24. During practical training, hours may vary by agreement and, as a rule, with the reporting time at 7:00
• You submit an electronic application as soon as possible and no later than December 7, 2026
• Employment interviews are held on an ongoing basis, after which a language screening is conducted at the Social- and Health School

Content

• You train Danish language, you learn professional language, concepts and terminology, which are an important part of the SOSU field, so you are well prepared for later education
• You learn about SOSU subjects, including diseases, and what happens to the body as it ages
• You gain experience with the practical work with the elderly, a good introduction and opportunity to participate in the daily work

Applications must include

• Application and CV
• Proof of Danish language instruction, minimum DP 2.6
• Proof of mathematics from Denmark or home country, minimum corresponding to Danish 9th grade
• Your residence permit card
• Your registration of residence basis in Denmark, which you received with your first residence card.
• Private criminal record
