Handyman with electrical background wanted for Silkeborg Assistive Devices Center

One of our skilled employees has chosen to retire in 2027, therefore we are looking at Silkeborg Hjælpemiddelcenter for a craftsman, preferably with an electrical background, with start as soon as possible.

Our everyday work is very varied, and we among other things need your help with the following tasks:

• Installation of electronic door locks and emergency calls, GPS, epilepsy alarms, etc., as well as repair of these both internally and at citizens' homes
• Sparring with suppliers and advising colleagues
• Advising citizens on handling their assistive devices
• To a lesser extent, driving assistive devices out to citizens.

You will collaborate with 2 colleagues at the workshop, but otherwise the job will be very independent.

Does it sound like something for you?

We expect you to have a crafts/technical education, preferably with an electrical background.

We would like you to have knowledge of assistive devices and the municipality's care centers, but it is not a prerequisite, so please apply even if you do not have this experience.

You must be passionate about making a difference for the municipality's citizens and their relatives.

You should be good at communication and be able to conduct even the difficult conversation.

The Assistive Center currently employs about 25 employees with different professional backgrounds, and we are seeking you as a new colleague on the team!

We expect that you

• Have a crafts/technical education, preferably with an electrical background
• Have a valid driving license (B)
• Have good physical condition, independence and the ability to adapt to the situations and people you meet
• Have a flair for using tools
• Can handle several balls in the air at once and keep an overview
• Can work independently and in a structured way with a good sense of order
• Are good at communicating with citizens and colleagues
• Have an understanding of the special task of working with elderly and disabled people and servicing their assistive devices
• Can handle difficult situations
• Have ITSkills at user level and must be able to express yourself in writing as well as orally
• Are a team player defined as outgoing, infectious good humor, great job satisfaction, helpful and speaks to others with respect
• Speak and understand Danish
