Do you want to lead a team of experienced financial consultants, set direction and stay close to clients? Then here is your opportunity to lead BDO’s Specialized Team in Copenhagen and help develop both people, clients and the business.

In BDO’s financial outsourcing we help companies manage and develop their finance function. It covers everything from bookkeeping and controlling to reporting, systems and processes.

The Specialized Team in Copenhagen works with clients where the finance functions are often complex. It can be larger Danish and international companies, companies with multiple entities, or clients who work in ERP systems such as SAP, Business Central, NetSuite, Xledger or similar.

You will be responsible for a specialized area that is already strong and has ambitions to grow further. You have the professional depth to understand complex issues, ask sharp questions, and support the team in professional challenges. When it creates value for the team and clients, you will also assist in problem solving.

You lead people and develop the team

The team consists of experienced employees with different professional profiles. You must create a framework where they can deliver high quality, develop themselves and use their professional knowledge in the best possible way.

You will be responsible for further developing a well-functioning team with clear growth ambitions, which will be a central part of the role. The task is to create the basis for a significant expansion of the area through developing client relationships, new business opportunities and attracting the right competencies.

Your key tasks will be to

Lead and develop the team and ensure quality and momentum.

Be close to selected clients and act as a sparring partner.

Develop existing client relationships and contribute to new collaborations.

Identify growth opportunities and help develop the business.

Your background

We prefer if you come from a role similar to the one you will enter, for example financial outsourcing, auditing, financial advisory or another client-oriented finance function.

We imagine that you

Have solid experience in finance, accounting, auditing, controlling or outsourcing.

Have experience with people management or team leadership.

Have worked with complex and preferably larger clients. International experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

Are strong in client relationships and have a business sense.

Understand how to develop and grow a professional area.

Communicate confidently in Danish and English.

You do not need to check every box. We are open to different profiles if you have the right combination of leadership, professional expertise and customer orientation.

You are an empathetic and strategic leader who can build trust and respect around you. You communicate clearly and can set direction and demand results.

You thrive on solving problems and maintaining an overview, even under pressure. At the same time you have a sense for opportunities and the energy to turn them into action.

You must be able to navigate a complex organization where many stakeholders are involved and where results are created through cross-functional collaboration.

Help develop the Specialized Team

We have a well-functioning Specialized Team, and the ambition is to develop it further.

You will therefore have the opportunity to put your stamp on both the team’s development, the clients, and the way we work. We will grow through strong client relationships, new collaborations and high professional quality.

You will become part of the management of financial outsourcing in Zealand with close sparring from the other managers and access to BDO’s professional specialists and national network.
