Head of the HVAC Department

As the head of the HVAC department at Viborg Engineers you will be responsible for developing and supporting a well-functioning department and you will also have a central role in the continued development of the company. The role has been created to elevate the expertise areas within HVAC and create increased focus on them each with the aim of standing stronger. You will work closely with and spar with the head of the electrical department, who until now has had the overall responsibility for the entire installation area.

A leadership role close to both the profession and the business

As the head of department you will have the overall responsibility for the HVAC department consisting of 6 employees spread across the offices in Viborg and Aalborg respectively. Your primary task is to ensure high quality in the projects here and now as well as to develop the department's competences, collaboration and business in the longer term.

Your key areas of responsibility will be

• Personnel and professional leadership as well as development of the HVAC group
• Contribute hands-on in projects, particularly in the startup phase
• Ensure quality, progress and financials in the department's projects
• Prioritize resources and ensure the right staffing on the projects
• Develop the department's business and strengthen relations with customers and partners
• Cultivate new customers through networking and proactive outreach and expand the company's market position
• Assess tasks and submit proposals
• Actively contribute to overall development through work in the management group and partner circle.

Your profile

We imagine that you bring a strong HVAC professional background and experience from the consulting industry, the contracting side or another relevant part of the construction industry. You have built leadership experience from previous roles that you can bring into play in a new role, and most importantly you have the ability to create engagement and development around you.

At Viborg Engineers you do not get a leadership role where the direction is already defined down to the smallest detail. There is room for you to put your own mark on the department and on the way you work and develop yourselves.

At the same time you will come close to both the other management, the employees and the customers. You will become part of the leadership team and thus also have the opportunity to influence development across Viborg Engineers. You will have a fixed base at the office in either Aalborg or Viborg, and should expect to be at the company’s other office on a weekly basis.
