Master Blacksmith for a small smithy workshop

Do you have an overview, technical understanding and desire to lead a smaller blacksmithing department? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

We are seeking a master blacksmith who can ensure daily leadership, planning and coordination in our metalworking department. You will lead 5-6 blacksmiths and play a central role in creating structure, progress and good quality in the department's tasks. TL Byg’s metalworking department is certified according to EN-1090 and DS/EN ISO 3834.

Your main tasks

As a master blacksmith you will be responsible for the daily operations and leadership in the metalworking department. You will, among other things, work with:

· Daily leadership of the department's 5-6 blacksmiths

· Tendering, calculations and follow-up on tasks as well as ordering of materials

· Planning of manpower, tasks and capacity in the department

· Participation in construction meetings as needed together with the client and the responsible project manager

· Approval of hours for paying the department's employees

· Approval of invoices for materials included in the department's production

· Overall responsibility for the department's certifications

Your profile

We imagine that you have a background in the metalworking trade with production for construction. The most important is that you have practical understanding, can create an overview and thrive on taking responsibility for both people, tasks and operations.

You do not necessarily have to come from a similar leadership position, but you must have the desire and ability to lead, make decisions and ensure that tasks are planned and solved in an orderly manner.

· Have technical insight and preferably experience from the metalworking and construction industry

· Are structured and good at planning resources and capacity

· Can communicate clearly with both employees, project managers, clients and partners

· Have flair for calculations, bids and financial follow-up

· Have drawing literacy and possibly own experience in preparing drawing material for production

· Thrive in a daily life where operations, people and practical solutions go hand in hand

· Are responsible, solution-oriented and have natural authority
