About the job

Are you a leader who thrives in a daily life where the framework is not yet defined? Then you are the one we are looking for

We are looking for a leader for our newly established unit for Citizen-Centered Health at Zealand University Hospital (SUH) in Køge and Nykøbing F, covering the entire catchment area in the Eastern Zealand Health Council and the Islands.

You will organizationally be part of a sectional management together with the chief nurse. Together you will create a leadership team with several perspectives on the tasks, and closely collaborate on development, operations and people management across the department. In addition, you will organizationally be part of a leadership team with two other sectional leaderships and have a close collaboration with the departmental management.

As a health-professional leader for the future authority area you will play a central role in translating the health reform into concrete practice and developing the authority area across sectors. You will become a key person in both establishment, operation and further development of Health and Care Places (SOP) – based on the current quality standards and with a focus on high professionalism, patient safety and citizen-centered value.

With the health reform, the responsibility for the authority area and emergency nursing will move to the newly established geriatric department SUH Køge and Nykøbing F.

This sets new demands on leadership, coordination and cross-sector collaboration. Therefore we are seeking a health-professional leader responsible for the entire authority area in our health council area, which covers the municipalities: Roskilde, Solrød, Greve, Køge, Stevns, Faxe, Vordingborg, Guldborgsund and Lolland.

With reference to the departmental management, you will have a decisive role in the transformation and must ensure that citizens experience a cohesive, accessible and highly qualified service that strengthens the close and integrated health system.

Your primary tasks will be

  • lead and develop the citizen-centered health offering, across hospitals and municipalities
  • ensure high professional quality and consistent standards across the entire catchment
  • build strong collaboration relations between hospital, municipalities, general practice and other actors
  • drive the implementation of new work processes and organization as a result of the structural reform, including upskilling of employees so that competencies match the future tasks
  • contribute to making the hospital more outward-facing
  • contribute to strategic development of the citizen-centered area
  • support a culture characterized by care, consideration, innovation, learning and high employee well-being

Are you an experienced leader with a desire to set direction, create structure and further develop professional excellence in a changing department?

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader who can navigate a complex organization and achieve results through collaboration. You should be able to see yourself in SUH's values: Integrity, loyalty, community and innovation.

As a health-professional leader you will take a prominent role in the restructuring and organization of the new tasks that come with the regional merger and health reform

We are seeking a candidate with the following profile

  • a health-professional education with solid leadership experience – preferably at mid-management level
  • has a relevant leadership education, e.g., diploma or master in leadership or equivalent
  • has in-depth knowledge of both the hospital sector and the municipal health area, including health agreements and cross-sector collaboration
  • has insight into the legal aspects of working in a authority department
  • you can engage in dilemma- and conflict-filled situations with a positive approach and with a view to finding the most optimal solution for the patient/c citizen
  • skills to create psychological safety so your employees dare to speak up when it is difficult with cooperation with citizens, relatives or partners
  • experience with change management and implementation of new organizational solutions and collaboration forms
  • works strategically and innovatively and can translate visions into concrete practice
  • is clear, inclusive and decisive in your leadership style
  • has strong relational skills and can create trust across sectors
  • has the ability to unite several sites around a common culture

We offer

  • a newly established leadership position with great room for leadership
  • a unique opportunity to shape future near-term initiatives
  • a central leadership role in one of the health service's most significant structural changes
  • a strong professional environment with engaged staff and leadership colleagues
  • a pleasant work environment with high well-being and transparency
  • a busy daily life where the good tone and good atmosphere are highly valued
  • a department that does not compromise on training and education
  • good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • a daily life characterized by high complexity, pace and great influence
