About the job

About the job

Once there was a nursing home... Not a huge nursing home where people disappear into long corridors and busy routines. But a nursing home with 35 apartments spread over two houses, where we know each other and are curious about the stories behind the doors.

Here a resident is never just a diagnosis, a medication list or a task to tick off. Here are people with life histories, habits, wishes and the right to decide over their own life. Therefore, person-centered care is not a section in a strategy. It is the way we meet each other.

One of our colleagues is going on new adventures with study in the new year and therefore we are looking for a new colleague in our professional community: A trained social and health care assistant.

We note that the position lies within the 24-hour area. Currently, the service is expected to be mainly day shift.

Your role in the tale

As a SOSU assistant you will be a central part of the health care intervention. You observe, assess, act and follow up. You work independently within your area of competence, ensure high-quality care, relevant documentation and contribute to coherent pathways in close collaboration with residents, relatives, nurses, therapists and colleagues.

We do not expect you to have answers to everything. But we hope you will ask questions, dare to use your professional skills, share your observations and help others succeed. The best solutions rarely arise alone.

Who do we hope you are?

  • You are a trained social and health care assistant – this is a requirement.
  • You have professional overview and can translate reflection into action, even when the day takes a new direction.
  • You take responsibility for medication, observations, documentation and follow-up within your competence and applicable instructions.
  • You are curious about the person behind the need and respect the resident’s choices and self-determination.
  • You share knowledge, seek sparring and value other professional groups’ perspectives.
  • You contribute to a proper, stable and helpful workday – and preferably bring humor along in your bag.

Therefore, why you should choose Hørgården

At Hørgården we believe in clear boundaries, trust and shared responsibility. You will have the opportunity to bring your skills and ideas into play and gain real influence on how we

solve the core task. We work with a learning culture where we investigate what doesn't succeed, rather than pointing fingers.

  • A present work community with high professionalism and room for diversity.
  • Interdisciplinary sparring and opportunities to develop both practice and your own competences.
  • Focus on the good everyday life – also the small star moments with coffee, music, conversations and laughter.
  • An educational environment where we together take responsibility for future colleagues.

Our values must be felt

Mutual respect, Integrity, Parity and Professionalism (GOLF) are our common compass at Hørgården. We meet residents, relatives and each other with respect; keep our promises; safeguard self-determination and are curious about how we can become more skilled together.

The tale of Hørgården is not finished. Maybe it is you who will help write the next chapter.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is desired to be filled on January 1, 2027 or by agreement. The position lies within the 24-hour area and is currently expected to be mainly day shift. Salary and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement and concrete negotiations with the union with negotiating rights.

Weekly hours: 37 hours
