House assistant sought for day care – 18 hours per week

Would you like to be an important part of everyday life in a day care, where good meals, collaboration and a well-functioning everyday life for the children are at the center?

We are seeking a house assistant for 18 hours per week with starting date 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

As a house assistant you will be part of the kitchen function and together with our other house assistant help to prepare and cook food for the children in both the toddler and kindergarten. Solrød Municipality offers lunch in the day care centers, and you will therefore be an important part of the work to create good and inviting meals for the children.

Your tasks will include

• to prepare and plate food for the toddler group and kindergarten in collaboration with the other house assistant
• to contribute ideas for dishes and meals that the children want to eat
• cleaning and tidying of the kitchen, equipment and utensils after use
• to fill and empty the dishwasher as well as other practical tasks in the kitchen
• to contribute to keeping the kitchen tidy, clean and inviting.

There will also be the possibility to open the kindergarten in the mornings every day, if it fits with your competencies and wishes. There may also be opportunities for extra substitute hours in either the toddler group or the kindergarten.

can work independently and at the same time engage in close cooperation

are keen to be part of a house with children, parents and colleagues around you

are flexible and helpful in a daily life where tasks can vary

are happy to come with ideas and inspiration for child-friendly meals.

Experience from kitchen, canteen, day care or similar is an advantage, but the most important is that you want the task and to be part of our everyday life.

The position is 18 hours per week.
