House Assistant sought for Skovvang Børnehus

Do you want to combine the joy of cooking with presence and care for children? The position is 32-37 hours per week starting December 1, 2025, preferably earlier. We are also happy to wait for you.

At Skovvang Børnehus we are looking for a house assistant who wants to become an important part of our community. For us, the kitchen is much more than food production. It helps create good experiences, community and well-being for children, parents and staff every day.

We are looking for you who enjoys creating the framework for a good meal, and who also thrives in a house filled with life, play and happy children and adults.

As a house assistant you will be an important collaborator for our kitchen manager, Ditte. Together you ensure that the children each day receive healthy, varied and tasty food that contributes to both well-being, learning and community.

Your tasks in the kitchen will include

• Help with daily food production
• Preparation of mid-morning food, lunch and afternoon snack
• Washing up and cleaning
• Contribute ideas for menus and exciting dishes
• Light autonomous food production during holidays and sickness

When the day’s tasks in the kitchen are finished, you become part of the nursery’s everyday life. Here you meet the children at eye level and contribute to the small but meaningful moments that create security, development and joy. Here it is important that you have good language skills both in speech and in understanding to support the children’s language development.

Working hours are generally between 9:00 and 15:30 (Friday until 15:00). The kitchen hours typically run from 9:00 to 13:30, after which you are with the children in the nursery.

Skovvang Børnehus is an integrated day-care institution in Allerød with 26 nursery children, 52 preschool children and 20 dedicated staff.
