Procurement Director at Juliana Group – Set the direction for strategic procurement

A key role with the Juliana Group's entire procurement agenda regarding the sale of greenhouses and conservatories in over 20 countries

As Head of Procurement you will be responsible for professionalizing and developing procurement across the Juliana Group. You work both strategically and hands-on with sourcing, suppliers, negotiations, cost drivers, risk and supply security and become a central partner to Production, Logistics, Quality, Finance, Product Development and Product Management.

Your role

You report to our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and your primary workplace is at the Juliana Group's headquarters in Odense. The role has direct personnel responsibility for a purchasing assistant in Denmark and works closely with a purchasing assistant in the United Kingdom. You will engage with an international supplier base and must be able to move from analysis and strategy to negotiation, follow-up and solving concrete supply challenges.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Juliana Group's procurement strategy as well as category and sourcing strategies for the main purchasing areas.
• Build a solid fact-based understanding of cost drivers, market dynamics and sourcing opportunities and translate it into clear priorities.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers and develop the existing supplier base on price, quality, capacity, delivery reliability and risk.
• Lead negotiations with strategically important suppliers and secure relevant written contracts, framework agreements and commercial terms.
• Create structure and discipline in supplier management with regular supplier evaluations, follow-up and timely renegotiations.
• Identify and realize savings through price and cost-driver analyses, alternative sourcing options, supplier development and make-or-buy assessments.
• Support stable material supply through strong procurement parameters and MRP discipline as well as coordinate season build from China, including lead times and Chinese New Year.
• Analyze inbound transport and logistics setup and conduct tenders or changes when there is a clear business case.
• Develop relevant procurement KPIs and closely monitor supplier performance in collaboration with Quality and the other operational functions.

Who are you?

We expect that you have solid experience with strategic and operational procurement, sourcing or category management. The most important is that you can create structure, challenge suppliers and translate analyses into concrete improvements and results.

• You have documented experience with supplier negotiations, sourcing decisions, cost analyses and systematic supplier management.
• You understand total cost and work in a structured way with data, business cases and follow-up.
• Experience from manufacturing, consumer products or another value chain-driven company is a clear advantage.
• Experience with international sourcing, preferably Asia/China, MRP-based planning and transport tendering is an advantage.
• You are commercially strong, analytical and data-driven, but also pragmatic and action-oriented.
• You build professional and constructive supplier relationships and are comfortable with setting clear demands.
• You collaborate well across functions and can develop colleagues and create clear priorities and responsibilities.
• You communicate confidently in Danish and English. German is an advantage, but not a requirement.
