The elderly care sector in Svendborg Municipality is facing an exciting development. More elderly citizens and fewer hands require new ways of thinking about welfare, care, and collaboration.
We are therefore seeking an innovation consultant with responsibility for welfare technology. We are looking for you who can see opportunities in new technology, translate them into practice and create value for citizens, relatives and employees.
About the job
As an innovation consultant you will be a bridge-builder between technology, citizens and clinical practice. You will work closely with leaders, staff, citizens and partners to identify challenges, test new solutions and ensure that technology becomes a natural part of daily practice in home care and at our care centers.

And you must have the ability to create innovation in practice. For us, innovation is not just about new ideas, but about developing solutions that are new, useful and utilized. Therefore you must be able to identify relevant challenges, translate ideas into concrete solutions and ensure that they are implemented and create value in everyday life for citizens, relatives and employees.
You will have great freedom to shape the area and you will be an important sparring partner for the management in the work to support sustainable development of the elderly care area. You will become part of a staff that consists of ambitious and engaged employees, where there is room at the top and an informal tone.
Your main tasks
- Project management and implementation: You drive projects safely to the finish line – from the initial needs assessment and market screening to full implementation and operation.
- Change management: You support leaders and employees in the cultural and workflow changes that new technology often requires.
- Education and communication: You equip employees to use the technology in everyday life and communicate the gains in an easy-to-understand and motivating language.
- Evaluation: You conduct business cases and qualitative evaluations of the technological solutions to ensure they create the desired value.
- Networking and collaboration: You build bridges across the organization and strengthen collaboration with external suppliers and educational institutions .
Who are you?
We imagine that you have a relevant higher education within the health sciences, social sciences or social field.
We also place value on the following
- Have solid experience with project management, change – and innovation processes, preferably from a municipality or other politically governed organization.
- Have an appreciative and patient approach to other people, as technology can evoke both excitement and concern.
- Work independently, structured and able to follow tasks through to completion.
- Can create followership and engagement around new solutions.
- Have insight into or great interest in welfare technology and digital transformation.
- Thrive with working across professional disciplines and organizational levels.
- Are analytically strong and can document effects and gains.
- Communicate complex topics in a simple and motivating way.
- Are willing to challenge habits and workflows with respect for professional practice.
What do we offer?
- An exciting and challenging position where you have great influence on the framework and direction of your work.
