About the job

Would you like to contribute to the daily operation of the railway and help create a green, stable and safe railway? Then you might be our new colleague!

As a supervising employee in the Forest & Nature section you will play a central role in the supervision of the railway on Zealand, where you follow up with external contractors and help ensure that the work is carried out as agreed.

In the green maintenance at Banedanmark all tasks are carried out by external contractors. This places great requirements on our supervision, and we need skilled supervisory employees who ensure that maintenance of the green areas around and access to the railway is carried out as agreed and described in the contract with the suppliers.

Your main tasks will be to

  • supervise maintenance tasks in accordance with contracts
  • perform administrative follow-up and conduct on-site supervision of maintenance tasks on the railway
  • prepare documentation on supervisory tasks and share relevant knowledge with colleagues
  • conduct quality control of completed work and monitor the working environment and railway safety

You will have a role with great professional responsibility, where you must both be able to assess the performed work in practice and ensure that follow-up and documentation are in place.

A everyday life with freedom, responsibility and professional development

With us you get a job where you yourself become an important part of planning your workday. You get responsibility for your own tasks and the opportunity to bring your professional expertise into play – while you always have colleagues to bounce ideas off.

We ensure a thorough training and education program, so you are well equipped for the tasks. You also get the opportunity to develop yourself both professionally and personally.

The work will primarily take place during daytime hours, but night work may occur in connection with specific tasks and projects.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a technical/technical background in green operation and maintenance. You may for example have experience with forest work, green maintenance, civil engineering or other professional tasks on or around the railway.

A valid driver's license for a passenger car is a requirement.

In addition we place emphasis on you

  • have good collaboration skills and can build positive relationships with contractors and colleagues
  • work in a structured way and follow up on your tasks
  • have good IT skills. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage

If you have knowledge of railway safety, for example SR2, ORF or S, that is also an advantage, but not a requirement.

Who are we?

The Forest & Nature section consists of two teams where you get the opportunity to shape our joint direction and contribute to achieving the section's goals. In your new team we are a total of 13 employees spread over 3 locations nationwide, but we collaborate closely across the country and the entire section.

We offer an exciting job with high professionalism in a team with security and informal tone across our organization.

In addition we offer

  • flexible working hours and the possibility of home office
  • a daily life with mainly outdoor work in green surroundings
  • prioritized company car for work-related travel

We value knowledge sharing, good camaraderie and multidisciplinary collaboration, so that we can deliver supervisory tasks of the highest quality.
