In our Business Strategy & Transactions Service Practice we help clients across different sectors navigate strategic, transactional and financial decisions. We support with strategic insights, M&A advisory and financial modeling.

Your new role

In this position you will gain insight into a global consulting firm, while obtaining solid knowledge of what it takes to be a management consultant. As an intern you will help companies make smarter investments and shape future-ready strategies, while developing your consulting skills in an open, collaborative and empowering culture. Bring your interest in business strategy, M&A and commercial advisory into play, while as an intern in management consulting you help deliver impactful solutions.

Your main responsibilities will be

• Market analyses related to regulations, competitive conditions and trends
• Development of business models and strategic roadmaps
• Commercial due diligence and support for transactions
• Assessment of new technologies/products and implementation strategies
• Preparation of business cases for investment decisions

You will contribute to projects that involve data collection, stakeholder analysis, impact assessments and implementation planning, and gain practical experience with the tools and approaches that define modern consulting. Typical project roles include research, data and market analysis, preparation of presentations, report writing and participation in client workshops. Your tasks will vary depending on the scope of the project and your development goals.

About you

We welcome students from various academic backgrounds such as economics, business, finance or engineering. Whether your passion lies in market assessments, regulatory studies, strategy, M&A or financial modeling, there is room for your perspective here.

These are

• You are currently pursuing or about to begin a master's degree in a relevant field, typically within business, economics, sustainability or engineering (You MUST also be enrolled in a graduate program throughout the internship period).
• You are among the top of your class.
• You have relevant professional experience from student jobs, internships or voluntary activities.
• You work in a structured way and have strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• You think strategically, have a high degree of abstraction, and can put yourself in the client’s shoes.
• You can work independently but also thrive in a team.
• You have experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• You speak and write fluent English (Danish language skills are not a requirement but would be an advantage).
• You are a Danish citizen or an EU citizen. Applicants from non-EU countries who do not already have a valid Danish residence permit cannot be considered, as current visa processing times exceed the internship start timeframe.

Please note that the internship is a full-time position for 5 months, and it is therefore not possible to take courses or write a thesis simultaneously. You must also be enrolled in a graduate program for the entire internship period.

Practical information

Start date : February 1, 2027.

End date : June 30, 2027 (shorter internship can be agreed if needed).

Salary : The internship is unpaid. Rambøll Management Consulting is however open to the possibility of recognizing the intern’s contributions with a thank-you allowance in accordance with SU-law provisions.

Location : We are seeking interns for our offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
