Now we are seeking a student assistant for an exciting cross-functional project across Service and Finance.

About the role as student assistant

At Haarslev we carry out a number of service projects for customers around the world each year. When the work is completed, it must be invoiced, but the process today involves several systems, manual workflows and extensive administration.

Information about, among other things, hours, travel expenses, project procurement and spare parts is registered in various systems and must subsequently be collected and validated before invoicing can be completed.

Therefore we want to review the entire process from performed service work to final invoicing. Together with colleagues in Service and Finance, you will help to create an overview of the process, identify improvement opportunities and contribute with recommendations on how we can work smarter through standardisation, automation and the use of AI.

The position is 15-20 hours per week, spread over about two working days, and you will report to our Service Director. Since the project involves cross-functional collaboration across a global organization, we expect you to be able to communicate professionally in both Danish and English.

Your tasks will include

• Map the current process from performed service work to invoicing
• Interview key people in Service and Finance
• Identify bottlenecks, duplication of effort and manual workflows
• Analyze relationships between hours, costs, project activities and invoicing
• Explore opportunities for standardisation, digitisation and automation
• Assess how AI and other digital tools can support the process
• Contribute with recommendations for concrete improvements

As part of the project you will help develop a decision basis for management, including proposals for future processes and prioritized improvement initiatives.

About your qualifications

• Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, HA, cand.merc. or similar

In addition, you are

• Analytical and curious by nature
• Structured and good at creating an overview
• Interested in processes, digitisation and business development
• Motivated to translate theory into concrete solutions in practice
• Good at collaborating with different professional disciplines
