Intern for Securities Withholding Tax Services at Danske Bank

Securities Withholding Tax Team delivers service within refund of dividend withholding tax and withholding tax service for Danske Bank's customers' investments. We are a team of 20 employees, of which 10 are in Denmark, while the remaining colleagues are in Lithuania. We work closely across locations on common goals, high professional standards and proper handling of tax-related processes.

In Securities Withholding Tax we work among other things with dividend tax, refund of dividend tax, withholding tax service, documentation requirements, double taxation treaties and tax domicile across markets and customer segments. Our work contributes to ensuring customers are taxed correctly in connection with investments, and that relevant documentation and process requirements are handled comprehensively.

As an intern you will become part of Danske Bank's professional environment, where you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and gain insight into how a large financial organisation works with tax-related processes.

Your role and your responsibilities

As an intern in Securities Withholding Tax Services you will contribute to the team's daily tasks and gain insight into how Danske Bank handles taxation of dividends from investments.

Your tasks will include among others to

• Support administrative and operational tasks in the team
• Assist with follow-up on processes for refund of dividend tax
• Help with administration of withholding tax service
• Contribute to ensuring correct documentation in connection with dividend tax
• Maintain and update information in internal systems
• Help with reporting and follow-up on open cases regarding refund of dividend tax
• Assist with controls, error identification and escalation to relevant colleagues
• Contribute to correct handling of tax-related processes
• Be in dialogue with customers, advisors and internal stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation and information
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of processes and workflows

About you

We are looking for a motivated and open person with interest in tax, proper taxation and financial investments. You will get a good opportunity to strengthen your competences and gain valuable insight into how a large financial organisation works with dividend tax, including refund of dividend tax, withholding tax service and international tax processes.

We imagine that you

• Are enrolled in a bachelor program in tax at Copenhagen University College or equivalent
• Are available for internship from February 2027 to June 2027
• Have an interest in dividend tax, refund of dividend tax, proper taxation, documentation, double taxation treaties, tax domicile and operational processes
• Can communicate professionally in English and Danish, both written and spoken
• Are curious and eager to learn
• Are a strong team player
• Work in a structured way and have an eye for detail
