Commercial Director

We are looking for an experienced business leader or a strong business advisor with leadership ambitions who can lead the business area and help shape the continued development of the savings bank. The role suits you who want to be a director close to customers and decisions, and who would rather lead from the front in daily life than steer from a distance.

Your daily life at the savings bank

You will have overall responsibility for the savings bank's business area and become head of the business department at the head office. The responsibility covers business in all three branches, also in Varde and Outrup. The team is experienced and numbers five business advisors, two of whom have farming as a specialization, and in addition three customer staff and a business trainee. You report to the director and will have a place in the savings bank's management group and credit committee, where you yourself write recommendations and approvals.

Leadership and strategic development occupy most of it. You set the direction for the department and follow up in daily operations, so business becomes even more customer-focused and goes out to customers even more often. Together with the director and the credit director you develop the business for business strategically and commercially, and in the management group you help make the savings bank work as one savings bank across the departments.

You stand for a continued healthy credit culture and a high quality in the approvals. Decision paths are short, and you get a real opportunity to influence both your own area and the savings bank as a whole. You can have your own portfolio of business customers if you wish. The savings bank has ambitions to strengthen the current skilled team of business advisers with more, and you will have the opportunity to help supplement your team.

Kustomers are especially craftsmen and small and medium-sized enterprises in West and Northwest Jutland, and agriculture, which is an important part of the local business community, is an area the savings bank is proficient at. There is great potential for further profitable growth among the smaller entrepreneurs in the area and in advising the whole customer, including the private side of the business owner's finances. You strengthen customer visits and the proactive outreach and are happy to lead from the front, and you represent the savings bank in the local business community.

You report to the head office in Nørre Nebel, where most of the business team sit together. The starting point is to be present every day, especially in the first period, with the possibility of working from home up to one day a week. The working hours are flexible, and you organize visits to Varde and Outrup yourself.

To be successful in the role…

…you do not need to have held the title of head of business or have many years of experience with people management. The most important is that you are professionally strong with business customers and credit and want to lead for others. As a person you are trustworthy and strong in relationships, and you create followership and stand by your decisions, even without being the loudest in the room. In addition you take pride in:

• setting a clear direction and explaining what the savings bank stands for to both customers and colleagues.
• giving new initiatives the time they require, and staying the course.
• maintaining a high professional quality in recommendations and approvals, so they are easy to read and decide on.
• being visible out with the customers together with your colleagues.
• seeing the whole customer, including the private side of the business owner's finances.

What you should bring

• You are a head of business, business chief or similar today, or you are an experienced business adviser with professional leadership behind you, who is ready for managerial responsibility.
• You have solid experience with business customers and credit from the financial sector and a strong commercial understanding.
• You live within approximately an hour's drive from Nørre Nebel, or you have for several years commuted similarly and are used to it.

It is an advantage if you

• have had managerial responsibility for business advisers.
• have experience with financing and advising agricultural customers.
