About the job

Do you have a strong interest in medical development and would you like to contribute to a safe and patient-secure healthcare system through supervision and advisory services? Then you are the one we are looking for.

About Supervision and Advisory Vest

Supervision and Advisory Vest is a unit within the Danish Health Authority. We supervise treatment facilities and authorized health professionals in Jutland and Funen. In addition, we provide health-legal advice to other authorities in relation to, among other things, notifiable communicable diseases, emergency tasks, environmental cases, medico-legal autopsies and traffic medicine.

We are about 60 employees, most of whom have a health-technical background as either doctors or nurses, but there are also lawyers, other academics and administrative staff. We are divided into four sections – Individual Supervision, Organizational Supervision, Advisory and Administration.

We have offices in Randers and Kolding. The workplace for the advertised introductory position will be at our Randers office, where you will be attached to the Individual Supervision section.

Our offices work closely together and are characterized by a good and close collegial collaboration both professionally and socially with a focus on development and learning. We also have a close collaboration with the Authority's other units.

We are a well-functioning training department for the specialization in community medicine and have continuously 3-5 doctors employed in introductory and main training positions.

Your daily life with us

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary team in the Individual Supervision section, where health professionals and lawyers work closely together on the health-related supervision of authorized health professionals.

Your main tasks will be

  • Administrative tasks and case-handling tasks in connection with the health-related supervision of authorized health professionals.
  • Forensic autopsies.
  • Health-law advice to doctors, nurses and other health professionals as well as other authorities, e.g. about instructions, guidelines, etc.
  • Health-related advice regarding communicable diseases, environmental pollution and traffic medicine.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

You are a physician and have completed the clinical basic education.

You are keen to try the community medicine specialty and are good at collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.

In addition we emphasize that you have

  • Interest in and preferably experience with one or more of our areas of work.
  • Interest in organizational medical tasks.
  • Interest in health-law issues.
  • Willingness to work across disciplines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Driver's license and a car available.

We offer

An exciting and varied job where you will be introduced to regulatory tasks and the community medicine specialty. You will have the opportunity to use your clinical experience to work with administrative medical tasks.

We emphasize supporting flexible working conditions, and the framework for work planning is discussed between the manager and the employee based on the overall task solution. You will thus have influence on the arrangement of your tasks.

You will be covered by a flexitime agreement. You will have flexible work arrangement, and after an introductory period there is the possibility of ad hoc home working one day a week by agreement with the immediate supervisor.

Regardless of your background, the work will probably be new to you. We provide thorough training, including a broad introduction and internal training. In addition, several of the tasks will have to be solved in close cooperation with experienced colleagues.

There are good parking facilities and electric charging stations. You will be included in a free coffee and fruit scheme. We are also a workplace that prioritizes collaboration on the green transition.
