You will become a central part of the product development in the TV 2 News app and have the opportunity to contribute to a product used by more than one million Danes.

The team

Whether you primarily come in at Tegelholmen or Kvægtorvet is not decisive. However, you should be prepared for days at both locations, as it is important for us to meet and work together. We want to create close collaboration across the belt, so we can deliver some of Denmark’s most-used apps and ensure the quality users expect.

At the same time there is flexibility in everyday life, and you have the opportunity to work from home during the week.

You will be part of both a product team and our competence team for app developers. In the product team you work closely with UX, product and QA to develop user-centric features. In the competence team, the app developers work across product teams with our shared tools, architecture, design system, standards and the quality of our apps.

We place great emphasis on close collaboration, both in the competence team and in the product team where you have your daily presence and tasks. It is important to us that we enjoy what we do, and therefore we continuously work on developer experience and overall job satisfaction.

The role

As an iOS developer at TV 2 you will be part of the team behind the TV 2 News app. Here we work to make news, live updates and breaking news easily accessible for Danes on iPhone and iPad.

You will become part of an agile team where we combine technical curiosity with high quality and good collaboration. Here you get both responsibility and influence as well as time to write good code.

We believe in freedom with responsibility. You get significant influence over technical decisions and how the team solves its tasks. At the same time we expect you to take responsibility for your deliveries and contribute to bringing the team’s solutions safely to fruition.

Your main tasks will be to

• be an engaged member of your product team.
• contribute to turning a loose idea into a concrete feature in the app and challenge existing solutions when there is reason to do so.
• write and maintain code in Swift and SwiftUI.
• participate in technical design decisions and architectural discussions.
• contribute to architectural discussions and common technical decisions across TV 2’s iOS apps.
• contribute to ongoing improvements of code quality through refactoring, code reviews and testing.
• collaborate closely with UX designers, product people and QA on holistic and user-friendly solutions.
• follow up on user feedback and performance measurements to optimize functionality and stability.
• help evaluate and implement new technologies and tools that can optimize our Apple setup.
• contribute to our shared libraries and design system.

Your profile

We expect that you have three or more years of experience with iOS development and have contributed to developing, launching and maintaining apps or larger features in production. We are more concerned with your professional approach, mindset and what you have worked with than the exact number of years on your CV.

You are interested in the iOS platform and stay up to date on new possibilities and technologies. You have the motivation to challenge the existing setup in a constructive way, while listening to and acknowledging others’ perspectives.

You take responsibility for delivering your tasks and support the team’s shared progress. You thrive in collaboration with others and want to bring your skills to cross-disciplinary work.

We expect that you have experience with

• Swift
• SwiftUI
• Swift Concurrency, including async/await and structured concurrency
• Dependency injection and modern app architecture
• Integration with APIs and handling of network communication
• Development and maintenance of native iOS apps in production
• Handling of text, images or video content in a native iOS context
• Testing strategies, including unit tests, UI tests and working with test coverage

We also expect that you have experience with

• CI/CD and automation, for example with GitHub Actions
• Working with design systems and shared UI components
• Modular codebases and common libraries
• App-specific backends such as Backend for Frontend, middleware or similar solutions
• Kotlin, TypeScript or Go
• Streaming, live content or other media products on Apple platforms
• tvOS development
