About the job

Do you want to lead IT projects that ensure Region of Southern Denmark has efficient IT solutions – and would you help deliver excellent user experiences for patients and staff at the hospitals?

“As an IT project manager, you play a extremely central role in planning the projects and ensuring collaboration within the project team, and you are responsible for maintaining progress in the projects relative to the agreed deliverables, deadlines and budgets” – says Lars Nissen Agerskov, head of function for Technical and administrative projects.

Your new colleagues

In the function area of Technical and administrative projects we are 26 project managers and project assistants. You will thus become part of a large project management organisation, where we actively engage in professional sparring with colleagues in sparring groups and personal sparring in 1:1 with the head of function about being a project manager.

Our portfolio of projects is large and varied. We have projects where we contribute to cross-regional projects and projects where we primarily deliver to our own hospitals. In addition, we have internal projects where we contribute to optimization and development of technical solutions.

You as a project manager

Your educational background can be diverse, but you have completed a technical or academic education and have experience working in an IT organization.

You have 3-5 years of documented experience in leading IT projects in larger organisations – preferably public, where you have gained experience with implementing IT systems or technical deliverables in larger IT projects.

You have practical experience with the use of the Prince2 project model. It would also be an advantage if you have knowledge of IT within the health sector, including public procurement.

You are a skilled communicator who thrives in navigating a large organisation, where you need to build and maintain relationships. In addition, you are capable of seeing alternative solutions to complex problems and balancing between many stakeholders – internal as well as external. This, combined with you taking part in ensuring the necessary clarification and definition of the project’s scope and content yourself.

Regional IT

Regional IT is Region of Southern Denmark’s central IT operations organisation, counting ca. 500 employees distributed across several locations in the region, but primarily in Kolding, Vejle and Odense.

Regional IT runs one of Denmark’s largest operational setups, where we daily ensure stable operations to 30,000 users at 60 locations. Our operations setup includes 4,000 servers, most of which are located in our state-of-the-art operations center in Kolding.

Is Region of Southern Denmark and Regional IT a workplace for you?

For us there is room for the whole person. In our daily work, we focus on making both work life and private life function, and as part of this we offer a homeworking arrangement and a flex scheme.

You will be stationed at our office at Kolding Hospital or at the location closest to your residence. We have fixed office days in Kolding, Tuesday and Thursday, where we expect you to be physically present. Depending on which project you join, you should expect travel within the region and in some cases also to the other regions.

Salary and employment terms

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

The position is to be filled by 1 January 2027.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the applied position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension. • Craftsmen, fitters, electronic technicians, etc. – agreement 32.23.1
