In Integration and Networks in Slagelse Municipality we have for more than 10 years worked purposefully to support the opportunities of newly arrived citizens to become an active part of the labor market and society. We are now looking for service-oriented and engaged colleagues who thrive in an outward and proactive role, where contact with employers is a central part of the work.

With us you get a lot of freedom to put your competencies into play and to plan your tasks yourself. You will have responsibility and influence over task solution, while becoming part of a team where sparring, helpfulness and common goals are a natural part of everyday life.

You will become part of an effort consisting of 32 dedicated integration advisers, job brokers, interpreters, family consultants, administrative staff and a manager. Together we form the coordinating department for integration in Slagelse Municipality and work every day to create coherent, professional and meaningful processes for citizens, families and partners.

The citizens fall under the Integration Act or the Act on Active Employment Efforts and can be activity-ready, job-ready, self-supporting, spouse-supported, EU workers and students. In addition, our family consultant team supports children, youth and families under the Service Act.

As part of the training you will travel around our organization and learn about all aspects of our efforts; including receiving new arrivals, Danish education programs, interviews, family-oriented efforts, business-oriented offers, etc. The training combines on-the-job learning with online courses and internal as well as cross-municipal networks.

About the role

As a job broker your primary task will be to identify possible job openings, establish internships, wage subsidies, IGU and other employment-related offers when upskilling is needed. The goal is for everyone who can to become self-supporting as quickly as possible.

In this role you must be good at building networks and creating good relationships. This applies both in meetings with job-seeking citizens, where you assess competencies and motivation, and in collaboration with both public and private companies, which must experience high service and relevant follow-up.

In addition to working with companies you will also support citizens with updating CVs, job logs and guide them on the opportunities and culture in the Danish labor market.

About you

As a job broker you have experience in the employment field and knowledge of the employment-related efforts. The position does not require an academic education. You may for example be trained as a social worker or social facilitator, but we weigh relevant experience as a job consultant or job broker in the employment field as highly as well. A good business network would be an advantage.

You are motivated by creating new relationships and naturally take the first contact to companies, even when persistence is required. You do not get discouraged by a rejection, but keep focus on the goal and work constructively forward.

To be able to perform the role it is necessary that you master Danish in both writing and speech, possibly in combination with other languages. You must be able to draft written agreements and high-quality documentation and communicate professionally with citizens, companies and partners.

You work in a structured way and have a high degree of data discipline. Experience with Schultz Fasit and VITAS would be an advantage.

It is a requirement that you have a valid driving licence for a passenger car and can maintain this during employment, as well as the possibility of making your own car available.

You are a team player who actively contributes to the community, shares knowledge and acts as a good sparring partner for your colleagues. At the same time you take responsibility for your own tasks and follow them through to the end. You can maintain an overview in a daily life with changing priorities, tight deadlines and regulatory changes.

We face new tasks in the employment area, including work obligations, and therefore it is important that you are adaptable, solution-oriented and thrive with change.

Salary and terms of employment

Permanent position of 37 hours on average per week.

Start as soon as possible and no later than February 1, 2027.

Workplace: Labor Market, Advice and Integration, Kalundborgvej 59 A, 4200 Slagelse.

Appointment is made in accordance with applicable collective agreement. For social workers, appointment is made under the DS collective agreement, while social facilitators, job consultants etc. are hired under the applicable HK collective agreement.

Starting salary

• For social workers per month full-time excluding pension DKK 35,656.33 – 37,846.87 including basic salary supplement
• For social facilitators per month full-time excluding pension DKK 35,933.33 – 37,472.92 including basic salary supplement
• For job consultants etc. per month full-time excluding pension DKK 34,522.33.

It is noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on education and qualifications according to the Ny løn principles.

When employed by Slagelse Municipality, references will be obtained and a criminal record check will be requested.
