About the job

Do you want to help create new opportunities for people who need to find their place in the Danish job market?

Are you passionate about working with people from different cultures and backgrounds? Are you motivated by building relationships with companies and finding the right match between the citizen and the workplace? Then you might be our new job advisor in Jobchancen.

Make a difference that can be felt

At Jobchancen we work every day to help refugees and family-reunified individuals get closer to the labor market and into the community. We believe that every person has resources and potential, and we work purposefully to translate opportunities into concrete job openings.

As a job advisor you will be an important sparring partner for citizens who either need to take their first steps into the Danish labor market or find their way back to work after a period outside the labor market. You help create progression, motivation, and belief in one\'s own abilities, while building a bridge between the citizen\'s competencies and the companies\' needs.

Who are we?

Jobchancen is a team within JobSønderborg. In Jobchancen we have three self-managing teams in addition to effort workers, family counselors, and reception workers. Together we are responsible for the integration effort with a particular focus on employment and the obligation to work.

Jobchancen is a diverse team where there is room for variety.

You are never alone with the task

In the self-managing teams we share responsibility for a group of citizens. We have room for professional reflective practice and opportunities to try new ways to help the citizens move forward. Collaboration in the self-managing teams should foster cross-disciplinary perspectives and create room for action – for the benefit of the citizen. The starting point is always that we believe in the citizen and the citizen\'s possibilities in the labor market.

In team 2 we are looking for a colleague for a maternity cover. Our target group is primarily integration citizens who have been in Denmark for a longer period. Some have experience from the labor market, while for others it is completely new. A large part of our citizens have health and language challenges. Our top task is to see opportunities and create connection to a work community.

In team 2 we pull together and take joint responsibility for the citizens. We work closely together, help each other solve tasks and have a flexible approach to task distribution. We believe we achieve the best results when we use each other\'s strengths and actively contribute to developing and strengthening each other\'s competencies.

At the same time there is room for professional development and trying new tasks across the team. We value differences and see them as a strength, because different perspectives contribute to better solutions.

We work in a solution-oriented way and take joint responsibility for both challenges and results. We trust each other, support each other in daily life, and meet both citizens and colleagues with respect, integrity, and professionalism. In this way we stand strongest together and create value for those we are here for.

Who are you?

You do not necessarily need experience from the employment field, but it is an advantage.

We imagine that you

  • Are passionate about working with people with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Believe that all people can contribute to the labor market when they receive the right support and opportunity.
  • Have good knowledge of the local business community and ideally an existing network of companies.
  • Are good at building relationships and collaborating with both citizens, companies and colleagues.
  • Work in a structured and goal-oriented way with a focus on results and progression.
  • Have a flair for documentation and use IT as a natural tool of work.
  • Have a driving license and are willing to use your own car in the job.
