About the job

-Are you driven to create good sales – and motivated by a large, independent responsibility? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.

As a Key Account Manager – Small Furniture you will have the commercial responsibility for Schou's largest customer in the Danish market. You will become a key player with independent KAM responsibility, where you drive sales, develop the category and create growth in close partnership with the customer - and in strategic sparring with Head of Sales.

Your role

You will be responsible for the development of the small furniture category (wood, metal, upholstery, etc.) – from idea and sourcing to sales and follow-up. You will work independently with the customer and drive your own negotiations, while ensuring a strong link to procurement and the supplier side – and continuously sparring with Head of Sales about direction, priorities and development of the business.

  • You own the customer responsibility.
  • You drive the business end-to-end.
  • You work closely with the procurement department and the product developer.

Your main tasks

  • Drive and develop sales at Schou's largest customer where you build strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Conduct independent price and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare offers based on in-depth calculations.
  • Manage tenders and pricing in close collaboration with procurement.
  • Actively work with sourcing and supplier collaboration – especially in the East.
  • Drive project sales from idea, development and production to finished sale.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, coordinators and other KAM colleagues.
  • Ensure quality, handle complaints and follow up on products.
  • Join ongoing sparring with Head of Sales on commercial priorities.
  • Participate in trade shows and supplier visits (approximately 30-40 travel days per year).

Your profile

  • Have 3-5+ years of experience as a KAM, Category Buyer or similar.
  • Have documented experience with indoor furniture.
  • Have strong experience with sourcing and collaboration in Asia (requirement).
  • Have a solid purchasing background and understand cost breakdowns and deep-level negotiations.
  • Have experience with project sales – from development to final delivery.
  • Have a strong commercial understanding and ability to deliver results.
  • Understand the value chain from supplier to customer.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following

  • A strong negotiator with gravitas.
  • Self-driven and thrive with significant responsibility.
  • Commercially sharp and results-oriented.
  • Analytical and structured.
  • A team player with an understanding of the entire value chain.
  • Trend-oriented and curious about the market.
