About the day care center.

Narsarmiutaq Kindergarten in Narsaq There are 60 children and 12 staff, and the day-care center manager is the immediate supervisor.

Narsarmiutaq Kindergarten is open from 07:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Friday.

In the Kujalleq municipality day care, we emphasize that children develop through creativity and innovation, and therefore we are seeking someone who has experience with creative work with children.

We are looking for a person who can take on educational responsibility, is flexible regarding changing workdays, has a strong mindset and can influence being a role model.

Work and responsibilities

·You must share responsibility in fulfilling the Inatsisartut law on pedagogical development offers for preschool children no. 62 of 20 November 2023.

·You have experience in creating frameworks for leading a day care institution.

·That you can create secure communication with people responsible for the child.

·We will try to create a daily life with a balance between recognizability based on daily rhythm/time sense & unpredictability based on the children's influence on the institution's culture.

·It is important that we together build a healthy & developing institution for all users. Therefore the work environment will be given high weight.

Child certificate

This position is covered by the law on the duty to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be employed in the position.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Greenlandic Self-Government, SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.
