Klausdalskolen seeks a mathematics teacher with an interest in students' academic development in our sports class

In Herlev Municipality we are massively investing in the public school and will invest 21 million DKK annually in the after-school centers from 2026. The funds go, among other things, to a two-teacher arrangement in Danish and mathematics, professional development, and more adults in SFO and club. It gives you better frameworks to work with to ensure high-quality teaching and a strong focus on relationship-building. And thereby support employees in making a difference for the children in both school, SFO and club.

We are looking for an engaged mathematics teacher for our 7th grade.

The position includes teaching in mathematics, where you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues through co-teaching. If you can also teach in one or more of the following subjects, it would be an advantage:

• Natural Science and Technology (N/T)
• Geography (Geo)
• Craft and Design (H/D-soft)

You will also take on the role of form teacher in our sports class, where you, together with the team, creates strong communities and good learning environments for the students.

Klausdalskolen

The school is located in the northeastern part of Herlev, and our school district includes both social housing estates and villas. We are a school with about 500 students; the municipality’s sports line and 10th grade are also part of the school. We have on the school a team for collegial sparring and guidance to promote a systematic pedagogical approach in the learning environment.

Herlev Municipality

In Herlev, we have a working-time agreement with a flexible understanding of how working hours are distributed. We work in self-managing professional teams with a focus on pedagogy and methodology. We work with flexible schedules, which are set four times a year. Teachers teach an average of 750 hours per year, about 19 clock hours per week. Fixed meeting loops ensure that collaboration with your colleagues is scheduled with a fixed meeting day on Tuesday.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A child and criminal record certificate will be obtained for employees who are employed at the schools in Herlev Municipality.
