Kofoeds Skole in Copenhagen seeks educational staff for Cleaning and Laundry

Would you like to help make a difference for people in vulnerable positions and do you have competences in both pedagogy and cleaning, then this could be you we are looking for.

Our team consists of Cleaning and Laundry as well as Production Workshop. The team comprises three full-time positions, a number of staff on flexible terms and a team leader.

At Kofoeds School we work for and with people in vulnerable life situations. Through teaching, guidance, workshops and work communities we create opportunities for each student to develop, gain new experiences and strengthen their path forward in life.

A practical everyday life with an educational goal

In Cleaning and Laundry the daily work takes place within a pedagogical framework. You will help train the students’ work skills, create structure and give each person the opportunity to experience that they can do something and contribute to the community.

You must therefore be able to see both the task and the person behind it.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• instruct and teach cleaning and laundry,
• coordinate the day’s tasks,
• train and develop the students’ work skills,
• develop and follow up on student plans,
• tailor work tasks to the individual student,
• perform practical cleaning and laundry tasks,
• contribute to the development of our working methods.

You will become part of a team where we on a daily basis brainstorm with each other, help each other and make it all come together.

Profile

Professional

• You have an educational or pedagogical education or another relevant professional bachelor’s degree.
• You preferably have professional knowledge within cleaning.

Experience we value

• Experience with pedagogical work and people in vulnerable positions.
• Experience with teaching, instruction and training of work skills.
• Work experience with cleaning, laundry or other practical work.
• You can combine pedagogical professionalism with practical sense.
• You can create structure and adapt tasks to the individual.
• You can use digital tools and learn new systems.

Kofoeds School is an autonomous social institution with 100 employees, offering help to self-help for adults who are unemployed and citizens in vulnerable positions with various social and mental health problems that make it difficult to participate in the labor market. We have 3,600 citizens annually and, besides the main school in Copenhagen, also have branches in Aarhus, Aalborg and Nuuk.

Employment terms etc.

The appointment starts on January 1, 2027. The position is 37 hours and the working hours are daytime on weekdays.

The employment is generally in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organizations in the State Sector (OAO-S), and the Organization Agreement for social-pedagogical staff at Kofoeds School (SL).
