Kofoed's School in Copenhagen seeks an educational staff member for Cleaning and Laundry

Do you want to help make a difference for people in vulnerable positions and do you have competencies within both pedagogy and cleaning, then this may be you we are looking for.

Our team consists of Cleaning and Laundry as well as Production Workshop. The team consists of three full-time positions, a number of staff on flexible terms and a team leader.

At Kofoeds School we work for and with people in vulnerable life situations. Through teaching, counseling, workshops and work communities we create opportunities for the individual student to develop, gain new experiences and strengthen their path forward in life.

A practical everyday with an educational goal

In Cleaning and Laundry, the daily work takes place within an educational framework. You will help train the students' work skills, create structure, and give each person the opportunity to experience that they can do something and contribute to the community.

Therefore you must be able to see both the task and the person behind it.

Your tasks will among other things be to

• instruct and teach cleaning and laundry,
• coordinate the day's tasks,
• train and develop the students' work skills,
• prepare and follow up on student plans,
• adapt tasks to the individual student,
• solve practical cleaning and laundry tasks,
• contribute to the development of our work methods.

You will become part of a team where we on a daily basis consult with each other, help each other and get everything to come together.

Profile

Professional

• You have an educational education or another relevant professional bachelor.
• You preferably have professional knowledge within cleaning.

Experiences we value you have

• Experience with educational work and people in vulnerable positions.
• Experience with teaching, instruction and training of work skills.
• Work experience with cleaning, laundry or other practical work.
• You can combine pedagogical professionalism with practical sense.
• You can create structure and adapt tasks to the individual.
• You can use digital tools and learn new systems.

Kofoeds School is an independent social institution with 100 employees, which offers help for self-help to unemployed adults and citizens in vulnerable positions with various social and mental health problems that make it difficult to participate in the labor market. We have 3,600 citizens annually and have, besides the main school in Copenhagen, also branches in Aarhus, Aalborg and Nuuk.

Conditions of employment etc.

The employment starts on January 1, 2027. The position is 37 hours and the working hours are daytime on weekdays.

The employment is generally in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organizations in the Civil Service Area (OAO-S), as well as the Organizational Agreement for social-pedagogical staff at Kofoeds School (SL).
