About the workplace

Rosenkildevej 97 is a residential care facility in Slagelse for adults with physical and mental disabilities. The facility consists of five connected houses with a total of 30 residents, all of whom live in their own apartments. Each house has a shared kitchen and living area, and meals play an important role in residents' well-being, health and quality of life.

Your tasks

As a cook or nutrition assistant you will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and for ensuring healthy and varied meals for our residents. Your tasks will include among others

• planning of healthy, varied and nutritionally correct menus
• preparation of daily meals and snacks
• adaptation of the diet to individual needs, including diabetes diet, enriched diet and dysphagia diet, as well as texture modification of meals
• purchasing and supplier ordering within budget
• self-check and compliance with current food safety and hygiene regulations
• planning and preparation of meals for parties, holidays and special events
• documentation of allergens and special dietary considerations
• collaboration with pedagogical and health care staff regarding residents' nutrition and well-being

We are looking for a colleague who

• has knowledge of nutrition, special diets and healthy eating habits
• can work independently, in a structured way and take responsibility for own tasks
• has experience with or interest in working with residents with disabilities and special needs
• can create an overview of budget, purchases and food production
• has knowledge of self-monitoring and food safety
• thrives in a multidisciplinary collaboration
• is flexible, responsible and solution-oriented
• has a driving license (category B), which would be an advantage

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the relevant professional organization and according to the principles of local pay formation.
