Quality Consultant for Quality and Patient Safety, Lillebælt Hospital

Lead the EU project and our path to the next OECI accreditation

Do you want to lead one of the country's cancer centers in continuing to deliver quality at a European top level – and at the same time help prepare the hospital for situations we hope never occur?

Sygehus Lillebælt is looking for a quality consultant who will take on a project manager role in two important initiatives: You will lead the hospital's part of the EU project TEXMECS , where we develop and test training of emergency preparedness, and you will become the hospital's project manager for our OECI accreditation .

This is a role for someone who likes to juggle many tasks, thrives at the intersection of clinical practice, leadership and international partners – and who gains energy from seeing improvements become reality in everyday work.

Your tasks

Project Manager for the EU project TEXMECS

TEXMECS is an EU Joint Action under HERA, the EU Commission's health readiness unit. The project concerns medical countermeasures for CBRNE incidents. Together with European partners we work, among other things, on how hospitals best train their readiness – so staff are ready when reality knocks on the door.

Sygehus Lillebælt is a pilot site in the project and leads one of the project's work packages. The project is underway, and you take over a role with established partners across Europe. As project manager you will be the hospital's outward-facing representative in the project and the driving force internally. You will, among other things,:

• lead one of the project's work packages in collaboration with another project partner
• plan, coordinate and follow up on the hospital's deliverables in the project
• serve as the link between project partners, the emergency response organization and the clinical departments
• help develop, implement and evaluate training programs and exercises
• ensure reporting, financial follow-up and dissemination of results

There may be travel activity related to the project.

Project Manager for the hospital's OECI accreditation

Sygehus Lillebælt is part of the European network of accredited cancer centers under OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes). The next accreditation visit is in February 2027, and we are in full swing preparing for it. We already know that even after the visit there will be areas we need to monitor closely and improve ahead of the subsequent accreditation.

You will have a central role, where you will, among other things,

• contribute to the accreditation visit in February 2027
• support the hospital's ongoing improvement work, where recommendations from the visit are translated into action plans, and coordinate the follow-up until the next accreditation
• collaborate with management, clinical departments and professionals across the hospital on progress in the action plans
• plan the overall process towards the subsequent accreditation, where self-evaluation and documentation are central elements

As a Quality Consultant in Quality and Patient Safety you also participate in the department's task execution, and help where our assistance is needed.

Who are you?

You have a social science, healthcare or other relevant education. Preferably supplemented with further education in quality, leadership or project management.

In addition you have experience with

• project management, preferably in EU-funded projects, and can keep track of timelines, stakeholders, budgets and deliverables
• quality work and accreditation in healthcare, preferably according to international standards
• evaluation methods and can translate data from them into practice

And you

• communicate clearly and confidently in Danish and English, both spoken and written, and are used to conveying information to clinicians, management and international partners
• build relationships and bring people with you – even those who are busy
• are structured and maintain an overview and morale when plans change

About Quality and Patient Safety

Quality and Patient Safety is a department at Sygehus Lillebælt, which provides consultancy services that support clinicians in putting the patient first. We are 16 competent and dedicated employees who work with patient safety, quality data, improvement work, patient experiences, patient complaints, OECI accreditation and emergency preparedness. In our unit collaboration is highly valued, and we help each other when it gets busy.

About the position

The position is a full-time role starting 1/1-27 and reporting to the Quality Manager. Workplace is Vejle and Kolding Hospitals.

Salary and terms of employment for the position follow the agreement for academics 33.01.1. The starting salary for the position can be found via the following link: See starting salary for positions in Region of Southern Denmark .

In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications. There will also be a position allowance tied to the role.
