The job

Carlsberg Denmark's laboratories in Fredericia employ 11 motivated employees distributed across 3 operations laboratories. The tasks consist of ensuring the quality of our well-known beers, ciders and soft drinks. In the operations laboratories we analyze raw materials as well as finished products for both microbiological and chemical parameters, thereby ensuring high quality of products for our consumers.

We are looking for a professionally engaged lab technician for permanent employment, who takes pride in good quality. The position reports to the Laboratory Manager.

Your responsibilities

As a Lab Technician you will become part of a professional and skilled team with exciting and varied tasks in an operations laboratory.

Your primary tasks will include the following

• Conducting sampling and testing of beers and soft drinks in the microbiological laboratory
• Planning, follow-up and close collaboration with the brewery regarding propagation of yeast for the brewing process
• Analysis of raw materials, packaging and auxiliaries
• Reporting data in MES/SAP and preparing reports
• Troubleshooting in production areas and participation in root cause analyses and risk assessments
• Development and maintenance of standards (SOPs & OPLs)
• Assist with quality audits and ensure updated documents in the management system
• Training of operators in laboratory analyses
• Ensure compliance with legislation and company standards
• Escalate quality problems quickly (Stop Work Authority)
• Implementation of new analyses, methods and equipment
• Problem solving in collaboration with production – both regarding quality and handling of analyses
• Auditing of analytical work in production and training of operators
• Validation of analytical methods

As a lab technician you will be visible in production, and you will therefore have a broad contact surface to both operators, production managers and colleagues in the quality department among others.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has the right education and is committed to quality – and who thrives on solving practical tasks and collaborating. Experience with microbiological analyses and experience from a manufacturing company is an advantage.

Additionally we see that you

• Are educated as a laboratory technician, laboratory technologist or equivalent
• Are experienced with the Office package and have knowledge of SAP
• Are fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken
• Have a methodical approach, attention to detail and can take responsibility for your own tasks
• Able to inspire and coach others, plan effectively and implement changes
• Thrives with a high level of interaction and is motivated about your work
• Works well with own responsibility in a team environment, while support and sparring are available
• Motivated to take on new tasks and challenges
• Motivated to work in an industry where high activity levels, delivery capability and quality are keywords

Because the laboratory has Sunday shifts, you must be able to participate in this arrangement.
